  • Candygirl I don't for a moment condone the behaviour of your darling daughter's sperm donor. It is completely without excuse. Regrettably a lot of domestic abuse does start during pregnancy. Thank goodness she can come safely to you! I suppose I was trying to hold out a flicker of hope that things may get better. My experience of the world tells me, sadly, that the first occasion is rarely the only occasion. Perhaps when the sperm donor realises that he is losing his hope of a family, a loved lady and a hoped for child it may convince him to keep his toys in his pram. Good luck.

    Thanks for all your words of support today ladies.I have been decluttering and taking stuff to the tip all day.Not so dear son in law came round to dismantle DDs old bed and drawers, and I made him take them to the tip.It's the least he could do to be honest.We have now cleared her room, and it's ready for painting at weekend.She had a cry before cos he is acting like he doesn't care at all, but tbh she is well rid, and can do so much better, although I kept my gob shut just in case they get back together:rolleyes: :rolleyes:
    SYBIL I knew what you meant hun, I used to work as a volunteer in a womens rescue so know all the ins and outs of domestic violence, but in my opinion there is never an excuse at all for it, and no theory can ever justify it;)

    Celyn - fingers crossed for the job.....I wonder if anyone would miss Dr Jekyll if he fell into the freezer? :whistle:

    Hmmm... It's big enough and the door air-locks shut... Noone would ever find him :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Can just imagine someone defrosting it in 30 years time and reviving him though :eek:

    Stop you lot....I can't keep up!

    Happy anniversary to the Twits;

    Welcome Alibobsy;

    Congratulations on chooks Aussie...two nice Rhode Island Reds...only know that 'cause Mother had them when I was a child;

    Glad you had a good day PenPin...happy birthday for Wednesday;

    Celyn...no amount of money would make me work those hours and for heaven's sake feed yourself;

    Poppyoscar...congratulations and enjoy the falling down water...off to bed so I'll take a raincheck thanks;

    Beth...please come and tell me how you keep going...apart from being years younger and fitter than me;

    Candygirl...hugs to your DD....glad to see that you are able to keep 'shtum' as it can only rebound on you if they get back together...DD4 had just broken up with DGS's dad when she realised that she was pregnant so I spent almost nine months trying to listen to all his faults (in his particular case he is a very nice young man!) without opening my mouth...was hormone lashed if I even seemed to say something in his favour....six years on they have not got back together, he is engaged to someone else, but they are good friends and he is a wonderful father so miracles can happen but she is better out of any kind of violent threat...would want to wallop him myself !

    Spent five hours last night in our local hospital with OH....pain in shoulder moved to back to stomach, they did all sorts of tests, ecg, Xray and discovered that he has pleurisy ( you didn't pass it on Redruby did you??) he is home but very tired and looks dreadful...going to cardiologist to-morrow afternoon so will pass on copy of the letter hospital gave him for gp...probably not relevant to to-morrow's visit but we will see. Slept for couple of hours this pm and now have no desire to sleep but will be up at 7 to-morrow so need to persuade myself to go soon.

    Hugs to all in need or want and congratulations to all who are celebrating....sorry for anyone I have left out, CRAFT attack.

    Night all
