  • Afternoon everyone.

Ive not had a very exciting day but Old Style wise I have done the usual cleaning and tidying, got 2 loads of washing dried and picked some broad beans and tomatoes to go with lamb chops I got whoopsied a while ago and froze. The children are at their afterschool clubs and I need to go in a minute to collect them.

    Happy birthday for yesterday Mioliere.
    Lovely chickens Aussielass.
So sorry to hear about your DD's troubles Candygirl. Take care of yourselves. x
Goodness, what a day out Penny pincher! Where do you get all these vouchers from? I remember you mentioning lakeland ones before.
I must say I aggree with the school about the FR eggs. Non FR will be outlawed soon anyway.

    Have good evenings everyone.

  • well i went blackberry picking this afternoon and found a purse!

was picking some berries i'd spotted growing round the edge of our park and ended up following the bramble into a gap spotted 2 purses lying on the ground, little coin purse was empty apart from a key but the bigger purse had a driving licence photos and lots of cards (store cards reward cards libaray and bus pass etc.) found the address on the licence and took it round to the owner- shed had it stolen from her kitchen about a month ago when someone snuck in through her open back door ad took her handbag. Shed cancelled all her cards etc but was relieved to get her reward cards photos and licence etc back. Both purses belonged to the same lady its a shame i didnt find her bag as well but that was probally thrown deeper into the bramble

I got a nice bowl full of berries as well as doing someone a good turn

MIOLIERE, belated birthday wishes to you sorry i missed your special day, i hope you did something really nice

I've been gardening nearly all day (oooooh I ache), and now I'm munching on raspberries and strawberries from the garden. I'd better be careful, at this rate I might end up fit and healthy lol.

Pigging smilies aren't working again, best go and sort it out.

  • Been out & about all day, tyres done, lunch at Brighton Marina,
my little brother has just been with a couple of black bags of clothes from his girlfriend - my DD's think they've gone to heaven (youngest says it's like free shopping!!!). It's all good stuff too.

Everybody having their own individual snacky suppers tonight which makes life easy :) Must nip to Asda for milk though.

Congratulations to PoppyOscar & OH :)
Candygirl (((((hugs))))) to you and your DD. There's no excuse for her BF's behaviour at all. Domestic abuse is not acceptable, full stop. He's a grown adult and needs to learn to act like one - I'm sure your DD will be much happier settling with you for now.

  • Thank you all for your kind wishes............I'm up on a cloud somewhere right now.

See you all when I come down!

    Hugs all round,

Lovely to catch up with all you lot have been up to today - what a lot of reading!

Candy- hopefully your DD moving out will give her partner something to think about. I'm pleased that she's moved in with you - there is no excuse for his behaviour.

Cool here now but at least it's been dry today and was quite sunny too!

Met a couple of intakes of new students - seem a good bunch. It's important to be optimistic biggrin.gif

Tea tonight is left over roast chicken and veg. We'll have the same tomorrow. Luckily we luuurrrve chicken, gravy and veg as that will be 3 days in a row. It makes life so much easier! I really enjoyed my chicken sandwiches at work as well.

Plans for this evening - dog walking and a big tidy up of the livingroom. Maybe even iron bedding and make up DD's bed for her coming on Saturday. Also plan to slouch about on the settee and read my book.

    Enjoy your evening all

Poppyoscar - that's so wonderful for you both :T
Pen-pin - glad you had a good day out; you must be shattered. I think you should get the purse too if you want it. Nice to hear BargainRzl is okay, I was wodering where she'd got too. Haven't seen arkonite_babe or crazychik around for a while either :(
Candygirl - big hugs for you and your DD, so glad she has a wonderful family to look after her. There is no excuse for her BF to treat her badly and I think giving her an escape route is the best thing you could possibly have done. Why her outlaws think she should grin and bear it I will never understand, even if it is denial, it is sick to think they would attempt to justify that sort of action because of their relationship to the perpetrator.
Hester - Glad the christening went okay, I was at a wedding a few years ago and some minor soap star was there. I didn't have the faintest clue who she was even when it was explained as I don't watch TV :)
 alibobsy - welcome to OS
catznine - sorry about your card, hope you manage to get to the dentist
churchmouse - you could make the cake in a pudding basin, cover the whole thing in pink icing then put a face/tail and feet on it so it looks like a piggy

Well, I went home at 10 am, slept until 3, did housework until 5pm, dropped some stuff off at the charity shop on the way down then came back to work. *sigh* another exciting night of writing alot about nothing in particular :) No more from Dr Jeckyll, so he must have been satisfied with what I did yesterday or too busy to reply. I corrected the grammar in his report, so I'm waiting for the shocked response! I have a cold burn on my arm courtesy of the -80 deep freeze at work and it's left a dreadful mark. I now know how the chicken feels when I don't wrap it properly in the freezer:rotfl: E-mail about new shiny job sent, one of my collegues has my CV at the moment too :)

I need to go and find some decent food though. I cannot live on haribo and coke forever. I'm kidding myself that the green ones are good for me :rotfl: :rotfl:

Edited to say: I spoke too soon when I though Dr Jeckyll was satisfied *sigh* If you see me going to check my e-mail again, shout at me to stop. :(

have a good evening, cel x

Hi everyone - what a day.. but first:

Poppyoscar - calling cloud nine, calling cloud nine.. woo hoo!!! So pleased for the both of you!

Candygirl *hugs* for you and your DD and bump.

Hester glad the christening was okay - last time I saw someone famous I was saying, "didn't they look just like..." :rotfl:

    Welome to Alibobsy :hello:

Churchmouse - I have decorated piggy cup cakes several times! DD1 is a big fan of all things porcine! I have done (fiddly) pink fondant pig faces with mini marshmallow snouts or less fiddly and easier (although not the cheapest) percy pig sweets from M&S as decorations.

Forgot to put chicken in SC  so dropped into Co-op and got RTC pork steaks instead. Can you all shout chicken! If you see me in the morning? ;)

My DSis ended up back in the hospital overnight last night and the have let her out now but her tests have revealed she needs a heart bypass operation..why has it taken so long for them to realise this?

I hope everyone is okay and huge hugs for all

Thanks morwenna:T two very good ideas:D I didn't do the cakes today :o ( well I won't see her until Wednesday, so laziness set in) might try both ways, but think I'll definitely have some percy pigs in for an easier get out. Has absolutely nothing to do with me loving percy pigs and there might be leftovers:whistle:   :rotfl:

Oh dear what's happened to my post? It doesn't look weird like this when I type it?? Any ideas anyone?
