Polka - I know who DF is but what does DF actually stand for?

  • Dusty, Soappie - how did I miss that? Genealogy? :j:j:j

Finding out sooooooooo much about our family. Db has now made us a webpage. Really exciting.

Can't remember, because it lost my answer whether I said I went to college and it was the wrong night.:o I wouldn't have minded but it was the tutor who told me, even though I queried it because they said next week when I signed up, so that applies to tonight's and tomorrow's courses as well.

I did all my dailies before work, but wish I'd put my washing out as it was really blowy and dry until just after 7. Never mind. I did manage another coat of paint on the soon-to-be study wall before I took DD to Asda for some scrunchies. She's come back from Turkey deep brown with her hair in braids! I've also got my bed stripped and more washing done.

I went to my local tesco and a mum and dad were in tears at the door. I asked them if they were ok and they told me their son, aged 12, had just pushed himself up the ramp on his own in his wheelchair for the first time. They were so happy. Kind of brings you back to reality! xx

Doesn't that just make you count your blessings. I once heard someone say in a sermon that "If all the troubles in all the World were piled up in a heap and you were allowed to make your own choice, you would still choose your own!", the point of the sermon being that God (or whatever your personal conceptions are - so I don't offend) never gives us more than we can cope with. Thank you, Mudbath, for reminding me how lucky I really am. And mine used to go to bed at 7.30-8.00 aged 7 - 9 ish, but always read for half an hour once they got passed bedtime story age. We're all great readers, so it helps.

Froddington - big hugs to you and your Dad for tomorrow - on my prayer list tonight Hun (as are all my Flying friends, like it or not :rotfl:)

Dusty - is DS able to move the arm without too much discomfort? If so, have you tried ice to reduce swelling. If he's having difficulty moving it, can't bend it or is in more severe pain, I'd say A & E, sorry.:o

I've just seen the oldest married couple in Britain on the news - wonderful pair - she's 100 and he's 105! And then I saw the weather forecast - more rain and more flooding. I hope everyone on here is safe and above high tide! Having been flooded in the past I sympathise with anyone going through that.

Off to bed now, so hugs to anyone who needs one and night all. x

Valli - re. boiler - do you need some help finding out what's wrong, and do you have a service contract/friendly plumber?

Boddy - glad you coped with the problem... hope your next shift is better

Polkadot - bet that REALLY irritated DF ;)

Ginger - don't worry about it, as Pigpen said, it's good that the school are aware that their might be something to look into, but that's all it is. It may be something she grows out of, and if not, it's been caught early.

Pigpen - you might be used to it, or you might not think it's abnormal. No one noticed my hypermobility until my late 20s... I thought it was normal, no one commented on it. Althogh I did used to get told off for not sitting 'properly' . I don't really feel I've suffered - I'm particularly good at very intense yoga postures! Maybe you can train Tiddles as a contortionist and make your fortune :D
