Hi.
When we put the cd in the following comes dialogue box comes up with several choices. Which one do we choose? The wizard doesn't come up.
PLUSCOM-SAO2 (D;)
Windows can perform the same action each time you insert a disk or connect a device with this kind of file:
Pictures
What do you want Windows to do?
(I can click one of the following choices)
- copy pictures to a folder on my computer using Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard
- View a slideshow of the images using Windows Picture and Fax Viewer
- Print the pictures using Photo Printing Wizard
- View, Find, Fix and Share Photos using Adobe
- Add files using Sonic RecordNow
- Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer
- Take no action
But according to the little manual that comes with the pci card I shouldn't even have this dialogue box come up.:j I hope my comment helps :T0 -
I've been abandoned!:j I hope my comment helps :T0

The fact that you have a CD is good.
It means that it's probably not working because you have not installed the software.
Didn't see you..... Ignore that pop up box.
Just follow the instruction to go to the Device Manager, once you've fitted the PCI card. That is of course if the Wizard doesn't appear automatically once you turn the PC on. Make sure the CD is in the drive when the Wizard appears.0 -
or...
select "Take no Action" from that list
open "My Computer"
Right click on the CD drive icon where you put the CD that came witht he PCI card.
Select Autoplay (if thats available)
It will run the wizard.
If no autoplay then double click the CD Icon to open up the drive and find a icon for "Setup" or "install" and double click it.
Bearing in mind those things might not be there, theres always the way described by Donnie."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

Hi guys.
I checked Device Manager, and, quess what..............
.......It's showing IEEE 1394 Bus Host Controllers
When I click on that it shows - OHC Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller:j
Wow.
When I double click on that it shows ''This device is working properly.
If you are having problems with this device, click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter''.
I have yet to have any sort of helpful Wizard turn up.
Does this mean that I can just plug in my camcorder and away we go? I'm scared to actually try it. I will wait for your replies before I do anything else as I feel a bit scared.:D:j I hope my comment helps :T0 -
yeah plug in the camcorder then fire up your movie software the do "aquire" or "get from" or whatever it is to grab the movie from your camcorder.
and keep us informed."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"
