  • have a look at ebay and put your model number into the search field it will come up with the correct firewire cable you need. I would post a link to one but im not sure if its allowed on the forum.

  • SHADOWDRAGON, can I just ask? Do you insert the firewire into the dv in/out hole on your camcorder and then plug it into your pc?

Edited because I was confusing the DV inout for the big circular plugs.

    Sorry for causing confusion.

    Yes, that's basically it.

The DV In/Out socket on the camcorder should be the firewire output, assuming it looks something like this:

If you fit a Firewire card to your PC, the port will look like this. A standard firewire cable will connect one to the other.

You'll still need software. Did the Panasonic come with software? Don't worry if you don't have any. We'll help you when the time comes.
  • Thanks Donnie.:T

I'm ordering the pci and firewire cable off ebay today. When they've come and I've slotted it in I'll be calling on you for help:D .

And, NO, my camcorder didn't come with any software.:rotfl:

Presumably you're using Windows? If so, which version? XP and Vista both have Windows Movie Maker included, which is basic but should do the trick.

There are other programs available as free downloads, too - other people should be able to point you in their direction.

Forget about Windows Movie Maker. No native DVD Video support.

Press the Flying Windows key together with the Pause Break key. I want to know how much RAM there is installed on your system.

Also, how much space is left on your C drive?
  • Hi guys.
