Drug abuse isn't a funny thing, but I doubt his mother has all that much ability to change his behaviour. What were all us guys like at 17?
Young uns tend to do drugs because their mates do and continue as a result of addiction/euphoria. It's up to him to stop the drugs, and if being banned from driving and the likely increased cost of insurance doesn't dissuade him, I'm not sure what can - but it's up to him to have a moment of insight and stop. I believe Conor's post was merely an attempt at providing some insight into the not so good side of drug use.
Yup...
But anewman, ... insight into the not so good side of drug use??? There is a good side then?
It is all so sad..
These youngsters think its just a little 'puff' and the next thing they know is that they have mental problems like Conor mentioned and paranoia.
'Weed' as it was known in the Sixties was really mild compared to this awful stuff around these days. To have a joint/spliff or whatever they are called, as strong as it is these days made from say 'sixties stuff', it would have to be at least the size of a base ball bat!!
I never touched it in my teens - I never even got offered it and I wouldn't go near anything like it now.
Such a waste of life.Genie

Many of us do caffeine. Can actually give withdrawal symptoms including headaches. Legalised drugs :eek:Apparently it has a somewhat similar affect on the brain etc to heroine.

Post reported to abuse.
That is outrageous.
No, being a potential killer, driving like an idiot, and lacking the maturity to drive an instrument of death (i.e. a car) is outrageous.
There's a reason he got banned, and that's because people under the influence tend to do things like this:

He will kill your cat and nail him to the door"

Not driving!
17-year-old drivers are incredibly dangerous, that's why their insurance premiums are so high.I believe Conor's post was merely an attempt at providing some insight into the not so good side of drug use.
As opposed to the good side we've already seen on this thread. Oh wait, no we haven't.....0 -
