Sistercas - my in laws come next weekend but are insisting on staying in their camper van and have booked into a site (yippee). They are on their way to Scotland on a touring hol so it will be a brief visit. I was unhappy last time they came though - they usually have our bedroom - my underwear drawer had been opened and wasn't properly shut. I felt very invaded. It's a massive heavy chest of drawers and quite stiff to open and close so wouldn't have been 'accidental'. I had been really down and off work and was on anti- depressants at the time, which I had popped into the drawer to have them out of sight <sigh>. I find them both a bit of a challenge. My F in L is incredibly opinionated. Anyway, good luck with yours!!!!

thanks! my MIL was a bit like that too I used to have to hide anything i didnt want her to see or even keep it with me now she is getting on a bit so not such a problem that way, i know how you feel though its very invasive.
however I am furious with OH. I have a bad shoulder and when I woke this morning it was really hurting and i asked him to clean the bathroom and hoover for me but as usual work comes first and he just sits at his computer and ignores anything else, which means i've had to do it all it really makes me cross.
i keep telling him how I feel but it doesnt sink in it justs ends up with us arguing dont know what to do about it anymore but it is certainly causing bad feeling0 -
Morning :hello:
Happy Birthday mioliere :bdaycake:
I woke up with a craving for sugar, cakes are in the oven as I type
Mr troo's friend needs someone to work in his curtain shop, he has someone in mind but she's not sure if she'll do it yet - she's covering maternity leave elsewhere at the mo and it depends on whether the new mum wants her job back or not. Mr troo has given the impression to his friend that I'll do it if the other woman says no  He'll moan [strike]if[/strike] when I say no - 'we need the money blah blah blah' - he won't look at our budget AT ALL, just moans about money. I thought we'd got past all this, I'm getting sick of it now. The teen-troos are lazy little sods as well. I'm about to 'do a troo'.
Wish those cakes would hurry up. I'm just sat here, licking the mixture off the spoonI am a coffee bean0 -

Happy Birthday Mioliere – and Master Mioliere!!!! And happy anniversary of meeting day J Glad you are having a lovely day so far, hope the rest goes really well.
PoppyOscar, good vibes coming your way for tomorrow, will be thinking of you & your OH.
Redruby, I went to a ploughing show a few years ago near Lewes, it was quite entertaining!
Hester, hope the christening goes well… look forward to reading about it later or tomorrow J
Sammyjig, glad something is finally happening J
Mummysaver, I think I will be trying a lot of recipes… and turning into (more) of a dumpling myself…
(((((((((hugs)))))))) for all those with aches & pains, feeling poorly or having problems with unhelpful OH’s/kids – look after yourselves and forget about the housework.
Have been into town AGAIN so DD could change a top. Got her some more school trousers while we were there, and also bought a funky little lilac phone for youngest DD’s birthday next weekend. Was boiling in my jumper by the time I got back, so now in a t-shirt with the patio doors open!!!!! So my heating definitely isn’t going on….lol

So far I have made a fruit loaf - but when I was kneading it it went absolutely mental and got soooooo sticky, so I added a bit more flour...then a bit more....and a bit more. Now i think I have added too much as it is not rising very much .
Also put my bedding into wash and completely cleared out my bedroom - sorted out some clothes for Ebay and started to take pictures. Will try and get them listed later.
Right, off into town to get milk (mine has turned). We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Troo, big hugs for you. I think you should have saved the electric and just eaten the cake mixture as it was. Keep us posted on how the Trooing goes and if it works.
I begin to think I'll have to do a Twit, Miss Twit's room is disgusting and somehow every discussion we have manages to get turned into my fault

Hello everyone
Happy Birthday to Mioliere and DS. Glad you are having a great day.
sammyjig good to hear that your DH is actually receiving some attention now but I would make the formal complaint anyway. It might just stop it from happening to someone else.
wmf I would hate to have my privacy invaded like that - especially by someone in my family (even if it is in-laws). My second boss works from home so I work in a part of his house. Even when he is out at meetings or on holiday, I would never dream of going into rooms where I had no right to be.
troo Enjoy your troo - well, if you are going to put so much effort into getting the lazy toe-rags to move, you may as well enjoy it.
Aussie, did you get your chooks and are they settling ok?
(((hugs))) to all who need one.
I've had a busy and productive weekend so far. I've been to the gym both days, I have made a HUGE start on my course (which I'm really pleased about as I was worrying about it) and I've made the Chilli Tomato Relish recipe that Pen-Pen posted on Friday. I had to adapt the recipe as I didn't want that much volume but mine is just a tad too hot. Still, it was fabulous with the ham I had for lunch today. I arranged my car insurance and hopefully the £75 cashback has tracked [STRIKE](must check that next!).[/STRIKE] It has tracked!! :j :j
I've also made some mango chutney and vegetable soup today. The washing is up to date but I have had to put the CH on as the wet clothes are heavyweight and won't dry otherwise as it's raining here.I've done the shopping for the week too so I should be able to avoid spending any more on food this week. :T I'm going to get the shredder out next and shred all the receipts, etc before I put them out for recycling.
I'm going to make some turkey escalopes with lots of veg for dinner later today in the Remoska.
Ice Age is on in the background (I just love that film!) so I think I will go and put my feet up for a little while. Bye for now. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."
