Happy Birthday Moliere
:bdaycake:0 -
Kathy - happy birthday! Hope you have a lovely day with your family xx :bdaycake:
Sammy - glad your oh has finally seen someone, as Squiggly advised I'd speak to the senior nurse and say you are very concerned.
Well I've made a huge pile of pancakes for dd3, and she ate every last one - so much for hoping for a spare for me, hope she doesn't sink when she gets in the water! She's the only one of mine who has never had swimming lessons, she never wanted them and does go swimming a fair bit with us anyway, and being really honest I've done years of dragging to lessons and was glad of the break really! Anyway she starts lessons at school on Weds and is so excited, she wants oh to tell her what group he thinks she should be in, she thinks she should be in the top one obviously :rotfl: Ah well, at least I can say she is confident
Need to find ds's meal plan for this week, still haven't been given it! Was hoping to grab any bits when I pick him up from rugby, ah well will grab the News of the World voucher and get any extras tomorrow when I go to work! Might nip into Boots and try and get rid of the vouchers I still have, every time I get rid of one another springs out of the till! dds all have plenty of cleanser and toner and wipes now anyway.GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
VickyA We had a letter like that at our old address. We opened the mail and rang the company to make sure we did not have any collection blokes at the door. We had to be quite forceful with them, but no-one ever turned up so I guess it must have done the trick
Mioliere Hippo Birdie!!!
Well, I feel like poop today. Busted my neck again and just generally feel a bit bleugh. Have worked almost 60 hours this week so have not really been eating properly.
Decluttered my 'office' yesterday and put some stuff on Freecycle, but it has not even made a dent.
Think today I will strip my bed and get that changed. Plus I want to finish off the ironing and put some stuff on Ebay. Woo, what an exciting day
Hope you all have a good Sunday :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Morning chums,
weather a bit on the chilly side this morning .
Happy Birthday Moiliere:beer: hope you get lots of goodies.
Going to try and sort out some photos of my late Mum and Dad to take with me to Manchester at the end of the month for my cousin Aileen.
She arrives on the 23rd and she has never flown before and its her first time out of Australia .She is 88 bless her, and I'm looking forward to meeting her and showing her pictures of the family. Her parents parted when she was 8 and she know almost nothing about her Dads family at all. He went to Australia in 1912 and married an Australian girl.
My DD is working today so I may go round to see the boys earlier this afternoon and give my son-in-law a hand, he's a good lad.
Hope everyone has a good day today <<hugs to those who need them >> and a bigto the rest of you .

Morning all,
Not nice here again today, not raining at the moment, hope it stays off as I have two loads of towels to wash, one is in now, will hang it out and hope for the best.
We were supposed to be going to a local ploughing show today, its a sort of ploughing through the ages type of thing with traditional craft stalls and demonstrations, we went last year and it was a great day out, and it was really hot  , will leave it an hour and see what the weather is doing before we make a decision.
If we dont go out dinner will be roast lamb with all the trimmings, if we do go I have a couple of pizzas I can shove in the oven for when we get back, with some salad.
Kathy, I hope you have a very Happy Birthday, you are a lovely lady and you deserve a great day, Happy Birthday to your DS and happy meeting day too :T :T
Talking about Birthday pressies, my friend worked out that her first dd was born 9 months after her DH birthday, and her second dd was born 9 months after her birthday
. She said I am not sure we do it any other time
Sammy, hugs to you and DH, lets hope he gets the care he needs soon xx
Hugs to anyone else in need.
Yesterday we took little dog to the beach, we were there for 11 minutes  , it was blowing a gale and started to pour down as soon as we got there, it was like November, little children was wrapped up in coats scarfs, gloves etc, its ridiculous,
Hugs for squiggly on this sad day xx

Mrs_Mix - hope you're feeling ok x
Catowen -:hello:Do what you love :happyhear0 -
 Happy Birthday Mioliere.
Sammy-best wishes to you and OH.
Well its grey but dry at the mo,but I won't risk putting the washing out.Not got any special plans for the day.Yesterday went shopping with DH,he went to Next for some new jeans- he hadn't realised they'd ripped where the back pocket is and he was showing all he'd got. I got a food slicer from Argos for my HM bread-its great,we get miles more slices out of each loaf now,and I want to make more just so I can slice(Sad I know, but you have to make the most of these little pleasures in life!)
I also browsed round Hobbycraft for a couple of hours while DH looked at a job, bought some more card making supplies which I'm looking forward to using.
Last night we went for an Indian meal at our favourite place-there were only 6 people in,which rose to 10 later. The waiter said its been an awful week.I feel really sorry for them-it only opened earlier this year and they spent a fair bit on it.The food is fab and not dear as far as eating out goes,so I hope it doesn't fold,we love going there when funds allow.
Well, will go and see if hubby has finished with the Sunday paper.
Take care everyone xxx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all - I've been in and out of these daily threads, lurking somewhat, but posting occasionally.
Moliere - Happy Birthday!
Sammy - please make sure you jot down some notes about what problems you have with his care, including dates and times of anything specific. If you do make a complaint, it will be very helpful to have. I was in hospital in July/August for awhile, and I did note some issues with care, however, when I pointed them out carefully (I realise the staff is very busy, however....) I noticed things were sorted quite quickly. I also made certain to know exactly what meds I was on, what they were for, and when I was supposed to have them. Came in quite handy on one occasion when the nurse doing the meds forgot to write down that she'd given me a particular IV med and they were going to give me a second dose - until I told them I had already had it and what time. (Sorry, stepping off my soapbox - I've always felt it's our responsibility as a patient to keep apprised of what's going on with our care in hospital - if we're physically able to, of course) Hope they can get your DH sorted and he is feeling much better soon.
Vicky - we've just moved into our house in July, and the prior tenant did not forward his mail, so we're getting TONS of mail for them STILL! And lots of it are bills and collection letters, not only for them but for their adult son who didn't even live with them!! DH wants us to open their mail and contact the senders and give them their new address, but I'm uncomfortable with opening their mail, as it's illegal to knowingly open someone else's mail. Arrgh! I'm also worried we'll have people showing up at the house as well. After 2 months of forwarding their mail to them, we've decided that's long enough, and are now putting "return to sender" on it. I guess if anyone shows up, I'll pop their new address through the mail slot to them, because I'm not letting anyone after them into our house.
We had to turn on our heat yesterday as the house was freezing and DS's fingers were like ice. Can't have a 2yr old walking about the house in mittens, can we?MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -
