I don't wish to add fuel to the fire. But why did you have a 3rd baby when you were already living in a 1 bed flat with 2 children?
It is up to the individual how many children they have. However, if a person decides to have a baby they have to live with ALL the consequences of that decision.0 -
If you want more income to afford a bigger home, why don't you work?0

my partner works full time,if the local council was to move us we would be able to afford the rent,my two youngest children are aged 2 and 6 weeks and have never been looked after by anyone else but myself and my partner,why would i want to leave them with a sranger when they are so little and miss out on them growing up
Its your choice, but you can't have your cake and eat it. There is a shortage of council housing so accept that you are unlikely to get a move in the near future. You now have two choices:
a) stay put and don't work;
b) find a private rental with more room - if you can't afford the rent then you have the option of working yourself in order to increase the family income.
(I don't know price in your area, but is buying a property a third option?)I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. And who ARE your local council?0 -
i see all 3 of my children as a blessing and wouldnt be without them for a second,we was told by my housing officer when our eldest was 4 it wouldnt be long before we got moved{that was nearly 5 years ago}when i was pregnant with our second and third child i didnt think we would still be in a 1 bedroom flat
I don't know the benefits, or housing or social services side of things. How come you have a housing officer if you rent privately and pay your rent in full and pay all your council tax yourselves.
Seriously, it may be a stupid question but I genuinely don't understand.0 -
