Fingers crossed for you JVC.
Got the feedback from my other viewer on Friday, they are speaking to a developer re a new build today, Mine is a period house, so not much hope for that one then. People are funny, in my opinion you either want a period house or you dont.
So onwards and upwards, no more viewings in the pipeline at the moment. But everything can change with one phone call, the person for my house is out there somewhere, come out where ever you are!Pawpurrs x0 -
I agree Trans, its a horrible process, that normally takes far too long.Pawpurrs x0

We decided to move in June as a house came up in the village I'm originally from. Ideal location, decent design, and at a fair price as buying it off Builders who had taken it as a part-ex.
Luckily we put our 2 bed semi up at a realistic price and had two viewings in 4 days. The FTB's who had the first viewing came in with an offer of 115k which was 5k below asking, but knowing they already had a mortgage offer in place.
The day we had the offer on ours was the day some of the major building firms had posted major losses, so put in a cheeky offer which was surprisingly accepted.
However, due to the incompetence of the buyers solicitors (reccomended to them by their bank:rolleyes: ), it dragged on for two months and we only exchanged contracts the day before we completed.
It was so nerve-wracking we are definitely not planning on moving ever again and sympathise with anyone currently in the same boat.
Now settled and our buyers are very happy in their new house - both got realative bargains irrespective of potential price-falls, so keep the faith!:D0 -
How we all doing, no more viewings booked in here at the moment.............
How was your viewing Jenny?Pawpurrs x0 -
hope everyones well. no viewings here yet. how did the viewing go jenny74 have you heard anything yet? OH has an interview tmrrw and another one next week so il feel happier if he can secure a job then we can have another look at finances and asses our options. you never know we might end up with a better house then we could afford this time last year. we have prioritised our wish list all we want is 3 bedrooms a garden and a not too bad area. and we dont mind having to do work. i keep trying not to look that much at min though because its horrible if you see the perfect house and it sells before you can do anything so until we get an offer im trying not to look.:coffee:i find a cup of tea can solve most problems:coffee:

How was your viewing Jenny?
They were time wasters! Very annoying, I spent all afternoon tidying, cleaning and making sure the house was spotless.
They are friends of out next door neighbours (who we don't get on with) I recognised them more or less straight away. They gave a vaguely feasable story though, saying they were going to rent their house out to her sister (who is pregnant and still living at home so wants somewhere with her own space) they are apparently going to change their current mortage to a BTL then buy another house. (Yeah, right). Unfortunately she told me one too many lies when she said they'd just view a house down the road (immediately before comig to my house), gave me the house number. I went to into my EA today and the lady I deal with told me that they hadn't arranged any other viewings with them. The house that they said the'd viewed is on with the same EA as me and they haven't arranged a viewing for them. Hmmmm. I smell something like b*llsh*t.
It if were all true, then our house would be ideal for thise couple as they both are part of Scouts (as is our neighbours) and they also do some cash in hand work for our nieghbours business. (That they run from home without planning permission!)
Anyway, sorry about the long post, buy you did ask!!!!

Nothing as wierd as folk, wonder why they wanted to come round Jenny. How annoying if they were just being nosy
Moneysaving will keep my fingers crossed for your DH and his interviews, Im sure something will crop up, and hope its a bit more money as well.
Sometimes losing a job turns out to be the best thing as it makes you get another one that you prefer, and a pay rise to boot!
I have a viewing booked in for saturday now, nothing to sell, so they say, so we shall see. Hopefully some more will book in too. Nothing else to report on the home front.
Lisa has gone quiet, maybe the baby has arrived, it must be due now. Suspect she is busy packing too, wonder if her interested buyer increased her price at all.Pawpurrs x0 -
i thought i would put my twopennarth in too, NO viewings in 4 months. now we're in a dilemma because we've seen a property we really love and are in no position to bargain or negotiate. so depressed, have been really down. we saw it on saturday, i nearly rashly bought £50 of lottery tickets for saturday night in the hope that we would win and i could buy this place. thats desparation for you. thank god i didnt, would have just been 50 quid worse off. (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1232885)
i kept telling myself that there are people in the world who are starving and suffering and just not being able to sell a property doesnt compare with that. it sort of made me feel better,,,, for a while0
