Not heard a peep from the EA since, they are supposed to carry in markerting so not sure that they are?!? Sigh, had an exciting weekend and may have decided where we want to move to or try at least, so hope it all goes through.

Well, our viewer didn't turn up yesterday :( And when we finally got hold of the estate agent to find out why, they phoned him and apparently he asked his PA to cancel and re-arrange for a different day, but she didnt.

So, as his father was staying just round the corner, he asked his father to come and have a look round to see if it would be suitable for him. The father and his wife said the place was beautiful and they loved it, but i'm not holding my breath as their son owns a stud farm at present and is getting rid of it and keeping 3 horses.

Now, there probably *is* the space for 3 here, if they were to make the ground at the front of the house into another paddock, but most people don't have 'vision' do they, so i expect they'll see the paddocks already laid out and think it's not enough ground.

So anyway, we've well and truly lost the hosue we fell in love with :( However, i had a scout round rightmove last night and found another house, with almost 3x the amount of land, and probably just as perfect for us. And it's on the same lane as the other house, just about 2 miles further down :D LOL

Anyway, looks like i won't be posting in here for a while again now - can't see anything happening :(

    Good luck everyone else xxxx

Well we have formally accepted the offer on our house today. The vendors of the house we put an offer on are on holiday until a week today and the EA cant get hold of them until then. We put an offer in originally £13k under asking price but EA has rejected it on their behalf. They have a reserve price in mind that they wont accept anything less than. We have now increased this to £8k under the asking price and the EA said she will put this forward when she can speak to them but I have stressed this is our final offer. I wont increase it anymore and am in the right frame of mind to walk away if needsbe.

We are extremely lucky in that in the meantime we can rent off my sister in law until a suitable property comes up. The only downside will be putting everything into storeage because her house is fully furnished. This is something I am looking into at the moment.

Sorry to hear your viewers didnt turn up Beki. Must be so frustrating.

As I said earlier, we should be exchanging contracts this week and completing on Friday next week.

When is it safe for me to sort mail re-direction? How much notice is needed?
Tell Virgin Media to sling their scabby hook?
    Book moving van?
And anything else you can think of ?

AS I recall, the PO needs about 5 days to set up re-direction. If you can do it on-line, it's quicker. Wish it was reliable too!

Removers can usually fit you in within a week or so, especially as they aren't so busy ATM.

    And there's this: http://www.iammoving.com/

No idea if it is any good/any catches, but no doubt someone else will know. I did all mine the hard way!

I used the iammoving site - great site, template letters etc and a useful list of all the ones you're likely to forget.

Pawpurrs, I am very glad things seem to be happening for you at last. I only peep in this thread now and again, and always have my fingers crossed for you when I do! I hope it goes okay.
Well done to everyone else that has had an offer/sold as well.

We 3!! our HIP has been done its been 2 weeks since we signed the contract so i'm hoping when i get home tonight there will be a sale board up.... not holding my breath though!:rotfl:
I called our EA yesterday to find out what was happening. Well actually I called Saturday and left a message and as no-one had got back to me by 4.30 Monday so I gave them a call. He told me the property should be on the market this Thursday . He also told me I would get the house details emailed across this afternoon. Well it's 6.20 now and they shut at 5.30 and there's no sign of them. I think I'll be on the 'phone first thing. I'm going to make his life a misery!
