Buyer came round last night to run through his tenancy agreement. He's never been a LL before and he'd printed me off a government guide for tenants - so sweet. :) Everything is agreed again re the sale price and I'm happy with is tenancy agreement (it's just a template AST from one of the landlord websites), though my solicitor will check it out too to be on the safe side.

All looking good, and buyer wants to complete by the end of the month! He's self-conveyancing so it all depends with my solicitor can get everything done on time. Fingers crossed.

I guess he either (1) thought there was no chance his other offer would be accepted or (2) just changed his mind about buying.

The guy I deal with at my EA is on the phone or with clients most of the times I call now - they definitely seem busy.

Not sure if there's something here my firewall is preventing me seeing...?

Or is it just a random comment?!

I have no news. No viewings - note to self that I only get viewings on days where I have left a leaning-tower-of-Wok pile of washing up in the kitchen.

It's just the Nationwide house price trend graph extrapolated, and it's old hat to some of us.

Every so often we have some prophet of doom enter this thread, uninvited. They are the sort of people who, one feels, might enjoy a job in a hospital telling people they have terminal illnesses.

    I love the washing-up comment!

OMG - we have just had a good CASH offer (nothing to sell, no need for a mortgage) on our house. :D

The buyer is known to the estate agent - well known, respected "person of their word". Ok, he could still mess me around, but... As a cash buyer ready to proceed - the race to exchange will be on :)

Wont post too many details here yet (incase "kiss of death"... ), but will keep you posted :)
