  • Well, our buyer finally got her mortgage with the last bank... huge load off our mind, and now we dont have to wait a month to find out if she got it (time it takes to get on the electoral roll)!

Survey is being done here next week, so hopefully not too long now!

In my area, sales are slowly picking up, but no houses are coming on the market, so we're lucky to have found our new house when we did!

On the upside DH has found another job, not sure its the right one but at least it will pay some bills.

That's good news Pawpurrs any job is the right job at the moment.

We're feeling a bit more optimistic today. Went out for a meal with friends last night which cheered us up. It sounds a bit silly but we'd been waiting to move before we bought a king size bed but have decided to go ahead and buy one now.

Going down to the estate agents in a bit to give them a kick up the behind.

Week before last had insane couple of days - after 3 years of awful luck (& believe me I mean awful) in the space of 2 days.....

DH was interviewed & got a job - well enough paid, doing what he does best & likes (this after 2 years of being on incapacity benefit for badly broken ankle needing lots of operations then on Jobseekers)

DS got the job he needs to keep him afloat while studying

And received offer on house at asking price (so £2000 less than the last buyer which fell through but who cares) :j

Solicitor has put time conditions so this buyer can't mess us about like the last one so I can hardly do anything because my fingers are crossed all the time

Now just trying to find house to move into...
Just going to post new thread asking for advice on the 2 possibles we have, please help if you can! Hope everyone else gets a slice of this luck we had - and hope the luck lasts at least till we've moved!

Had the day from hell yesterday.
Firstly the car got a puncture (new tyres were allready on order) It being a silly low profile car, there is no spare, and the gunk stuff didnt work, and my car breakdown has expired.
Secondly DH job offer was retracted, meaning he has no job now.
Thirdly A very good friend has been rushed to hospital.
I paid the mortgage this month, ordered tyres etc as though DH had a job.
We need to get two tax discs this month, as well as the four tyres, pay the insurance excess, so all in all the finances are looking dire.
I tell you I just havent had ANY luck since moving to this house.
Grumble grumble grumble Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh rant over.
Hope the rest of you are having a better time of it.
    Pawpurrs x ;)

You need to do some feng shui to sort it out.

Pawpurrs - I'm so sorry to hear about your day. :( It drives me up the wall when I hear about companies offering jobs and retracting them - it's so unfair. Hope your friend gets well soon. x
