    Hi,

Yes your right Sarah at £103 I would be able to clear everything, at the moment I feel like i'm wasting money as i'm paying out for it & i'm not there much. Think I will chat with my partner over the weekend & then drop it to £114,950 to start with, I had this as a figure in my head & see what happens. My EA has seemed quite good & his website has lots of photos about 25 for my house & it's only a two bed so that's why I picked him. Will have look at my contract though I know the minumum period is up this month so won't harm to gee him up.

Hope all goes smoothly with your sale.

Feeling down as another weekend rolls in without any interest. All very quiet here. Any one got any viewings booked in for the weekend?
Sarah well done on sorting it right in your head, thats a good head on those shoulders.
    Welcome back Dave.
Good Luck Feefee, hope you have some interest soon.

Thanks pawpurrs - and hang in there. There's buyers out there - more elusive than they used to be but they're definitely there. :)

My stomach's going to be in a knot till I complete. I think the offer I accepted was fair so I have been lucky (works out to 17% below the value at the peak of the market, which is about in line with the statistics published). Just got everything crossed it goes through.

Feefee, I know what you mean. Sellers are told they are out of touch if they don't lower their house prices dramatically and buyers are advised to put in 'cheeky' low offers. So if you don't lower nobody will view but if you do lower buyers may still offer 20% less than asking price !
So it's really difficult to know what to do.

Nothing happening for me - although I did go home in the week to find my post in a pile and a voicemail from my EA telling me 'the viewing' had been quite positive. Was that the viewing I knew nothing about?!
  • #Hi all not updated for a week or so.

I had a viewing about an hour ago with 20min notice luckily house work was done this morning so it was only a case of giving the kids a talking to about being seen and not heard :rotfl:

Worst thing happened tho, i knew the potential buyer ........

She was an ex-employee of mine:eek:... i let her go a few years ago (due to poor attendance).. lets say it was one of the most awkward moments ever, cant wait to get he feedback from that one.

Ive got another viewing booked for tomorrow lets hope i dont know this one :rotfl:

I'm back - sale has fallen through. Our buyers buyer has had a problem and has had to pull out - something to do with her divorce and joint businesses they had.

Just paid for the survey on the place we want to buy last week so hope we can get another sale in place fairly quickly!

Didn't put this in my earlier posts but baby is due early May so we wanted to be moved before then but looking unlikely now.

Sorry to hear that Marc, presumably your buyer still wants yours so another buyer on yours or theirs should see the chain back together again.
    Sigh..........
On the upside DH has found another job, not sure its the right one but at least it will pay some bills.

Glad your DH got another job - its tricky at the moment. One of my friends just got a job she's sure she'll hate but just needed an income. Hopefully if they decide its not the job for them in the long run will be able to move on.

Charliestwins - can't imagine how that must have felt

Glad to hear that, pawpurrs. Jobs are almost as hard to find as buyers at the moment.
