finding my feet - I do that all the time - and then I get really annoyed with myself cos I''ve just wasted time and petrol.

I am going to start writing out my cards tonight too...can't decide whether to do a christmas newsletter also for distant family and friends - it wouldn't take long and my dad said we can use his printer, so...

thanks everyone for hot water bottle suggestions - am going to have a trip up to primark and matalan I think for hot water bottles - £3 sounds good - was thinking of doing a hamper for MIL with twinings hot choc in, her fave coffee, some photo mugs perhaps, and a hot water bottle and other such warming things.

bought some more pressies today got two sets of PJ's from primark totaling £8. One for BF's sis and one for mum.

Now lady's (and gents if there are any lurcking around here) I need your help and inspiration. I havent the slightest idea of what to get my 19yr old rocker brother. he has all the computer games, cd's dvd's he wants, he plays the bass but is not interested in any of those ''learn your favourite bands songs'' type of book as he is ''better then that'' (quite the ego on him lol). he isnt into clothes, hair products, he doesnt wear after shave only deoderant. He is unbelievably laid back. he doesnt read books. I thought about getting him gig tickets but no way can i afford them. He is really really funny and I've always thought that he would make a great stand up. Hope you guys can help xxxx

If you look at your local area box office/clubs/venues/ you can usually find gigs for bands at good local prices ie £11 ish.
Also look in your guitar shops and buy some guitar picks usually about 50p each, different designs etc.
A new guitar strap for his bass, don't know his age but bassists usually like the longer ones the better.
Look on ebay for band tshirts, memorabilia, if you look now you can usually get some bargains for Christmas
    Good luck
Here I stand, foot in hand

I'm not quite right at all

Thanks Manson666 He'as actually beat me to it and told me out right what he wants. He just wants money for his holiday, but I would rather buy him something then just give him money I think it's very impersonal. Last year I bought him a guitar shaped CD rack to go on his wall which I thought was really cool. It's still sat in its box :o(

Another vote for the Primark hot water bottles, got SIL a black and white zebra fur one, its lovely! Have also got her black suede slippers (bought in Jan in teh Ruby & Ed sale) that have the same fur lining! Very chuffed as they look fab together.

From what I have read, (apologies if I have got the wrong end of the stick), but he seems cheeky telling you he wants money, its different if you had of asked.

I would be tempted to say no present, but if its family, sometiimes its rocking the boat, I would just buy him a present, and lump it. xx

Yeah I know it sounds cheeky and had it been anybody else I would of been quite shocked at the rudeness of it. But that's just what he is like, very much not one for beating round the bush. He doesnt mean to be cheecky he just sees it as being helpful lol xxxxxx

  • Hi all,

went into town today and grabbed few few pieces to put in my xmas box.

If anyone is stuck on what to get a teenager who is into rock or music ect, you can pick up ticket master giftcards in wooloworths that they can use against all the tickets on the ticketmaster webiste.
i just bought one for my brother so he can go and see red hot chillis or foo fighters next year and you can add anything from £10 up wards
