Now lady's (and gents if there are any lurcking around here) I need your help and inspiration. I havent the slightest idea of what to get my 19yr old rocker brother. he has all the computer games, cd's dvd's he wants, he plays the bass but is not interested in any of those ''learn your favourite bands songs'' type of book as he is ''better then that'' (quite the ego on him lol). he isnt into clothes, hair products, he doesnt wear after shave only deoderant. He is unbelievably laid back. he doesnt read books. I thought about getting him gig tickets but no way can i afford them. He is really really funny and I've always thought that he would make a great stand up. Hope you guys can help xxxx
As a rocker typeI can recommend a few things he might like. Has he got rock band (computer game)? If so they do some awesome accessories on there like a coffin guitar bag, a guitar stand etc. Look what sort of bands he likes and see if they have a cd out around christmas that you could get the special edition of. There are like.. B list bands too who's tickets are much cheaper. I know you say he doesn't like clothes but you can't go wrong looking in HMV and getting him a hoody or belt buckle in his fave band. Does he like games workshop things? What about some Vans or Converse shoes? How about some cinema gift vouchers and sweets.

So the grand plan says we have to be doing our guest rooms - thought I had a week off but to me it now means I have to do the spare room. The spare room is a dumping ground in our house (equivalent of your cupboard of doom roxie). Not looking forward to tackling this - but it's where all the christmas presents are stashed so I can have another look through everything and play with it all (which I do often - I so need to get them wrapped).
Bought a few more bits for christmas today - bought some twinings hot chocolate that looked nice in home bargains - wondering who to give them to now??? they looked lovely though in their posh tins.
18 days left and I need to have bought everything - AAAAAAAAHGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I can do it, but I'll be skint in November until I can make it back on ebay or something...need to see if anything I want to get is going BNIB on ebay first - gonna do that now...see ya later everyone.
Giving myself a deadline also of this friday to get all my bits together for all the crafts I want to do, and then no more (I will not be clicking on any links to see what wonderful things have to be added to my list - and pigs might fly!!)
Also there's a few things I've missed out on with the grand plan so far so am going to catch up with it all by friday also cos next week's the kitchen(and that's a biggy).0 -
A question about Boots.
Can you use your Advantage points towards something (i.e. if you have £20 on your card, can you use it to knock £20 of something more expensive) or do you have to use it on something which is £20 or under?:xmastree: :snow_laug Christmas Nutter :snow_laug:xmastree:0 -
No you can only use as full payment ie:if you have £20 you can use them for anything £20 or under not as part payment0

If ita any help re Boots points, say you buy the xmas presents on 3 4 2, the 3 4 2 also applies for Boots points purchases.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

really annoying but you can't use points as part payment. it is a good excuse to become a bootser and save them up for expensive things thoughthats what i tell myself anyway!

Morning Everyone
You all seem to be getting on really well, I've had a bad couple of day's youngest has been off school with a hacking cough and a tap for a nose  Bless him. But it has put me behind, not got anything done. He's no better today either. He's up already getting the tea and sympothy lying on the settee watching Wacky Races.
So needless to say I'm not getting much done. Although yesterday I went through my planner and added a few more things to my lists  ( I must be Mad). And I've got a list of things that I need to Print Off on the PC/ Internet so plan to get all that done today. Then will be off up to school at 2 O'clock for the PTA Meeting (Although I am looking forward to this as we are organising the stuff for the Christmas Fair today :j - Oh I love Christmas)
Anyway need a Coffee now, Hope everyone has a productive day.
Sarah
