pinkladymel - I love the tacky red and gold rubbish too - but my husband hates it - I always manage to wangle something in though.

Well, couldn't upload my before photos of my daughters messy room - tried but I needed a url address for it - where do people send their photos so that they can upload them? Are they free? I have them so if I figure it out I will post them.

My house is like a show home as yesterday afternoon the estate agent phoned with a viewing for our house so I tidied and scrubbed and cleaned all evening and this morning. Except my cupboards are stuffed full to the brim now - I didn't have time to sort through boxes and do the ironing, etc; so I just shoved them out of sight. So while the house is clean and tidy I'm going to crack on with decluttering cupboards and drawers, get the ironing sorted and try and keep the house show home esque.

Might even get some crafts done cos it's so tidy.

    Hi everyone

Managed to get a few bits done but what a day, mum called me to see if I fancied having a look around our local craft shop so she can get some ideas for halloween and christmas arts and crafts for the chidren in her class at school. But whilst we were there I got my first ever parking ticket  , I cryed I was that annoyed and I would of had to of taken the money out of my christmas fund cos there was no way I could of afforded it. But my lovely mum said that she would pay for it because I wouldnt of gone there if she hadnt asked me. Then she suggested we go to our local Lakeland shop and treated me to some decorations there, she said that some of them were tacky so I said that they were classy tacky cos it was lakeland stuff lol.

Anyway I managed to finish all my hm pressies but didnt write my cards out. Just cant bring myself to doing it, I really dont like doing it

I'm the same as you scattymam, got all the stuff to do the HM pressies but not even started them yet.

I too must get started, I will give myself a kick up the b*m and hide the kettle.

Hope you have a productive day.

I love reading this thread, :)

I like to do most of my christmas shopping online these days, but I miss the christmas feeling of the shops, so I now always listen to christmas music online while shopping (http://www.accuradio.com/holidays/ is great) and have a compulsory coffee with a slug of Baileys, just to help with the festive feeling!

My children are all growing up now, and this year their presents are all tiny (in size not cost), so I'm looking for big cheap things to wrap just to make the 'wow' factor when they walk into the sitting room.

    So far I have:
A 6 pack of coke and multipack of mentoes (to do the volcano thing)
A multipack of doritos (a real treat as I usually buy smartprice :] )
    Hoverdiscs (49p in Home Bargains)

any other ideas? (They are 8,10, 14 and 15)

I havent really been on the organised for xmas website but I have been reading this thread loads.
So today Ive decided im staying in and decluttering my house. My b/f is at work until 7 so I have loads of time to do it.
Ive already wrapped all the xmas presents I have already bought and written out xmas cards. I have a list of xmas cards I still need to buy and any xmas presents I need to buy.
I have a few birthdays between now and xmas but I have bought the presents and ordered the cards.
So guess I had better get cracking with gutting the house.
Should I go on the organised for xmas website and print off all the stuff you all have?
