    Morning everyone,

Awwww Mel, that pic is amazing, I would make it into a xmas card for family members.

I cant find my list from last week but I know I didnt finish but its hard to find best deals and prices for pressies when offers are changing weekly, so im going to plan my shopping around what deals are on instead.

I need new decs this year, im going for a chocolate and gold colour (in the lounge anyway) what colour lights do you all think I should have??

I think you should have clear ones, I think it would make the tree look really classy. I think that is a lovely colour scheme, I think I might go for it in my flat, the living room is chocolate brown, cream and biscuit coloured. Sorry for stealing your idea Sugajen xxxxxx
  • Mum2one - That sounds totally horrific re: your crazy neighbour, hope it's all over soon.Chin up!

Super excited about the festive season! My OH loves Christmas too so we have been planning present shopping and decorating our flat. He works offshore on a 2 week rotation and unfortunatly this year he will be away for Christmas and New Year.:( Nevermind, I will be going home to my folks for a full 2 weeks and my Mum is very excited to have some extra help in the house. I think she is cooking for at least 10 peeps this year.

However.....I will be having a 2nd Christmas when OH comes back - LUCKY ME!!!

I had no idea how lucky I was until I read through some of the posts on here. i have never had to oragnise Christmas or buy for kids yet so I am noting down all the tips now for the future.
This thread is getting me through somelong boring days at work so keep the chat flowing!

Also lucky enough to be going to London in Decemeber to do the Christmas shop. I have ever been before so will be a big adventure (live in Edinburgh)!:j hoping to pick up some non tacky tourist gifts for family - Harrods shopper for my nan!lol

    Weeeeeeeeeeee!!I want a mince pie!!:santa2:

Findingmyfeet - Generally a spammer on here is someone who advertises a little known site (i.e. not argos) and tells of a 'great deal'. It usually is either their company or a referall link (ie. you click it, they get money for your 'click through') which isn't allowed on MSE. As well as that, if you click their name and look at their other posts, typically all their other posts are about the same company, AND they usually only have a few posts (this is why a lot of newbies offering good deals get accused of being spammers, when in most cases they are genuine offers, they just dont know where to post etc.) Hope thathelps!! :)

OUR CHRISTMAS CAKE IS IN THE OVEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I woke up to find the delicious smell of christmas cake wafting through the house! SO excited!! :)

For all eBayers - just a note, I have just received what I think is a spoof e-mail from eBay. It is a very very very good copy, about a cancelled bid on one of my items asking me to click a link. I was suspicious as it said "dear eBay community member" - whereas eBay send it to your username. All the colours, style of writing etc. are identical and I was almost fooled. I didn't click through but just checked my eBay account, and no bids have been cancelled. So just watch out!

awwwwwww, wish i had that long to go! lol, i don't know whether it's better to know when it's going to happen or whether it's better as a surprise! I'm gonna be started off 10 days early as i was diagnosed with gestational (sp??) diabetes and apparently they don't let you go over 40 weeks  i'm kinda glad in a way, at least it's sooner before xmas! keep getting horror stories tho, lol, was okay with the other two and didn't have many problems, but then they were girls lol

thats what midwife thinks I may have. got to go for the test next thurs :( really hope its not the case.

pinkladymel - this is the wierdest story but I had absolutely horrendous SPD with my second. I literally could not walk and was housebound. Going up stairs to the loo took half an hour with OH pushing me from beihind - lol. Then, a lady from a playgroup I used to go to visited me and informed me that her church prayer group were praying for me. From then on my symptoms all but disappeared! I'm a bit of a wishy washy believer (like the hedge my bets lol) but it was sooo strange! I havent been as bad this time but am taking no chances and being very careful. Big prob is that I cant excercise so am feeling really fat and horrible (my thighs are monstrous!)
oh, and my parents prob did the worst job imaginable so god knows how I'm not some crazy person by now!

i always think clear lights look so much classier than coloured - each to their own though, just my opinion.

we have a pale blue/silver theme. asked hubby to get decs down from loft but her wouldnt - spoil sport! speaking of hubby - i keep ruining my surprises from him. i went on autopilot opening his bank statment other day and saw 2 shops that were obv for my pressies and prices :( Then i bought myself some lovely fluffy slippers that he'd already bought me:( then i ordered friends sceneit to play over xmas new year which he was gonna get me as well - bless him.

I am not a professional photographer.. I WISH! More like a professional photoshop faffer. It really gets me buzzing to play with photographs and it is kind of hand in hand with the scrapbooking I do.

If ANYONE would like their photos fiddled with just email them me and i'd be glad to help :)
