oh god mel - you've brought tears to my eyes there!
i'm another one with too soft a heart but i had a poor childhood in every sense of the word (i know, woe is me!) so should be bitter and twisted really! I do think I spoil my kids, living through them if you get what I mean but i try to spoil them with time, affection, trips out and not just material things. I try to ensure that they're grateful and aware of children less fortunate through various charity bits we do together
My dad had his leg amputated last year and is in a wheelchair so thats made me realise how difficult it can be. For example, he came down to visit and neither of us realised that he wouldnt be able to get into my house! I'm pregnant with SPD (pelvis problem) and he's not a light bloke so I couldnt help him, and OH was at work. How bad did I feel with my dad stuck out on the driveway! It was raining tooSo I know how easy it is to take simple things for granted and I'll be trying not to in future.
was actually just going to post my own soppy post but you bet me to it! was just thinking, singing along to the xmas tunes with a smile on my face, how much happier I feel then a few weeks ago. I suffer depression and was going through one of my low times and I really feel like this thread has pulled me out of it - keeping me motivated to do the things I need to do and having a giggle with you ladies. OH goes mad when I say I've had xmas tunes on but so what, the festive period makes me happySo  to all on this thread! One thing though - what ever and we going to do after xmas!!!!!
I know its digressing from the christmas thread, but noticed you suffer with SPD, make sure its not pushed aside at the hospital, sorry if I sound pushy, just that when I was expecting dd, (back in 2002) I had the same and had to fight tooth and nail. Sounds daft, but imagine a piece of tubi-grip, but mega sized, double overed and went from under boobs to top of legs, but it helped me. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
awwwwwww, wish i had that long to go! lol, i don't know whether it's better to know when it's going to happen or whether it's better as a surprise! I'm gonna be started off 10 days early as i was diagnosed with gestational (sp??) diabetes and apparently they don't let you go over 40 weeks
i'm kinda glad in a way, at least it's sooner before xmas! keep getting horror stories tho, lol, was okay with the other two and didn't have many problems, but then they were girls lol
Only joking, but guessing after 2, is it like shelling peas, have they given you anything yet for the diabetes, or are they monitoring you? Think one of the reasons y they dont let you go over 40 weeks, as babies are prone to be a bit heavier to mums with diabetes. The gd thing (sorry meant in the nicest of ways), the diabetes may well go away after.
How long have you got left to go? xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
