Im quite proud of the alarm clock thought, been ages since I had a good idea :rotfl:

Hmmm think I might leave the fimo for now, might try making that salt dough stuff instead?

Pinkladymel, I really feel for you, I like garlic even the smell but not when its overpowering or constant!! Im not suprised it made you sick. Do you get on with the neighbour? Sounds silly but is there anyone you can report her to? I know that seems extreme but so is physically vomitting because of something neighbour is doing. (anti-social maybe??)

hulagirl - hahaah the hubby is the extra weight BRILLIANT I love coming on here you lot make me laugh so much :)

SugaJen - I like these neighbours they're better then the others who used to play music full blast till 3am and I had a newborn screaming :( They are jamaican (well, albino actually) so he has a lot of garlic in his food. I can't even tell you what the smell is like. I used to love garlic but I found myself not fancying it these days lol.

  • hi all,

got the xmas crooners on while i do some baking for everyones lunchboxes for this week. Its quite relaxing actually, no one in and just lit the wood burner too ( freezing here and very windy, leaves almost gone off all the trees). Peace for another hour at least.
I have tesco ordered a few times , when ordering fresh/firdge stuff or fruit and veg i put additional comments on for the pickers. Like almost green bananas, or milk must have at least 4 days on etc. so they know exactly how i want them, takes a little longer to do but i get what i want. if not i give it back to the driver.
pinkladymel- told him he wont be getting any sunday lunch ( well dinner we are eating later today). He knows not to mess with me and that i will carry out my threat ive done it before when hes upset bigtime. !!! if it dont appear by serving up time the dog will be getting a treat.

Also spent the afternoon clearing the 'cupboard of shame', not on my list yet and had no intentions of doing it but opened it to get something and almost got crushed. So whipped everything out and took me 3 hours to sort and put away . Left a lovely stack of stuff for recycling centre, bags for charity shop and loads of rubbish. not perfect but loads better.
got to dash baking ready to come out of the oven.

hi sugajen- me and my little boy both have excema and I find lush products really mild. I only let him use them as a treat but neither of us have been irritated by them so far. I asked in store for ones for their xmas hampers that were particularly mild for sore skin and they recommended the little snowman bath bomb they do. its super cute and has shea butter and all kinds of lovely stuff in it. I also love to use their almond soap (forget the name but its something to do with snow).

5- Make present list for everyone
[STRIKE]6- Sort out christmas decs etc in loft (so i know where they are :rotfl: )[/STRIKE]
7- Sort at least 2 peoples presents out and get them bought and wrapped.

  • Hello all :santa2:

I have been lurking on this thread for a while now but haven't posted...just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone. I needed to be far more organised than normal this year as OH's dad is going in for a heart op in a couple of weeks so will be doing lots for him and OH's mum..so wanted to make sure I was upto date with things so that I don't get overwhelmed as have to fit in work, DS, OH, and all our normal stuff as usual too...plus a trip to Switzerland too !! Woo hoo !!

I have had a list of big things that I wanted to do, and am pleased to say I got all of the big stuff finished today !
Have de cluttered the playroom to fit in all the new xmas stuff, have cleared out my wardrobe and the spare room wardrobe so I now have room for all the christmas pressies I have bought !!:j (almost finished pressie buying too !)

Even managed to clean the car out..and wrap a few pressies too (big mug of ovaltine, and xmas songs...doesn't get much better :T

How pleased with myself am I ??:o

Keep up the good work !!
  • Hi hope you dont mind but me joining. Im usually quite organised for xmas but this year we have a new baby in the mix as well as teenage son and the extended family Sister, BIL 2kids (under 5) and (grand)father have all decided to go away to stay in cornish farmhouse. Idea is lovely but the practicalities of this are starting to make me panic! (just a bit as its still only Nov) Any one done this before and have any good tips as to what to take, what to do (its bound to be wet) and how to mediate family tiffs!! All advice appreciated tks.
