Just had a really quick look on www.organizedchristmas.com and we're about to go into 'gifts and giving week'!! So a summary of the last week 'reality check week' has been declutter before you decorate, check containers, check u have a Christmas outfir!, plan baking, do not feel pressure for a perfect Christmas from magazines tho they do have some good info in,look at the holiday housework plan, set budgets.
Plus there were lots of making ideas and tips for thanksgiving which I have not added as I don't celebrate thanksgiving and I've not started all the Christmas crafts that I already have!!!
Let's hope I manage gifts and giving week a bit better than the reality check one!!0 -
pinkladymel - can you tell us what the topic of the assignment is? i can only scrapbook when not under pressure! i did one for someone as a present and it was a rush to the finish and quite stressful - not enjoyable at all. you do have to be in the mood!
yeehaw! 12 of my 36 items have bids on eBay so i'm really happythat should bring in a couple of quid (not loads tho as they only have bids for 99p!!) but its a start.
hopefully going to treat myself to a day of crafting and making my fimo gift tags/tree decorationswill hopefully post a pic later to show you

Is it just me who is panicking abit now  even though im here to be organised I feel its still creeping up
BUT almost everything is planned it just has to be done (but with baby due on the 18th im limited for energy and movement!!) so I cant be that far behind...........can I??
Wondered if someone might be able to help with a little dilemma, Im doing xmas eve hampers for my kids, (10, 7 and 6) im putting in, New PJ's, book, a mug with hot choc sachets and marshmallows (is that snowman soup??) choc coins, dvd (cheap from play.com or preowned from cex) expanding flannel, some activity stuff and bubble bath (so far) but my son suffers from eczema and has to be really careful using bubble baths, is there anything I can sub for him or a nice way of decanting his medicated stuff to look nicer??
Ooh just had another idea.....im going to put an alarm clock them too, just a little travel type and set them all to go off at the same time (probly just after lunchtime) if I make up a little verse to attach to the wrapped hampers, something silly along the lines of 'you cant open me until you hear me beep' hehe it'll drive them mad waitingbut then we can have a fun afternoon watching dvd's and making/doing whatever activity materials I decide on, nice bath, new jammies, and a nice book to read in bed.
Now ive ranted (sorry) I dont feel quite as panicky, I cant wait :T

They look great, I'd love to be creative although I do try, cards mainly but struggle for ideas which puts me off.
Is fimo hard to work with? I notice you said it took some rolling out, but after that was it ok? wondered if it might be a nice thing for the kids to do, maybe make something nice for grandparents? (again no idea what lol!)Good enough club member number 140 -

This is such a great idea. I have a 4 year old and a 2 year and have a small Christmas eve set for them with just a book and PJ's but may have a look at the alarm clock idea (think it is fab) and some cooke stuff too as they both like cooking.
My DS has excema too so doesn't really use bubble bath etc. COuld you just filter his bath stuff into another bottle

Hi all
I am feeling really under the weather (again) next door cooks really strong garlic. I am serious it is like.. I am eating a raw garlic. Yesterday I was so busy I hadn't ate, I was going out the door and I just started being sick thanks to next doors smell. Because I hadn't ate all my stomach really hurt. I went out and treated myself to a KFC then when I came home I opened the front door and it hit me again... Bye Bye KFC
So I am feeling sicky and hurt today and not in the mood for much tidying.:xmastree:Self Certified Christmas Addict:xmastree:0 -
