6 weeks 6 days to go!!

Remember when I was posting and it was double figures? Now it is only 6 weeks!!

I am feeling really excited now. Can I be totally honest.. I haven't even looked at organizedchristmas.com for AGES! Everytime I do I feel a wealth of disappointment in myself for failing to follow the plan.

I have a notebook, I have made my lists and checked them twice and slowly I think I am getting there.

I made a promise to myself to save everything christmas until december 1st and I think I am going to make it :)

I am just doing my apprentice assignment at the moment Tartster but when I have finished I am all up for starting that craze :D

    Listmakers alert!! http://www.rememberthemilk.com/
An asbolutely fab new website that allows you to store 'to do' lists on the PC so you can access them from anywhere. You can e-mail your 'inbox' and it adds things to the list for you and then you can access it on the web, schedule tasks etc.

I am having loads of fun with it!! could be fun to write xmas to do lists on there too ?

Pinkladymel - ooh can we see your assignment when its done - pretty please??

Can I join too? I've made some christmas cards with my son (three years old, he's very into that sort of thing!), got a few presents and started my pamper hampers. I've also booked my ocado delivery! We're having a very low spending christmas (actually, we always do... or try to, anyway) as we're trying to concentrate on getting rid of our debts in anticipation of another baby next year (hopefully). I've always loved Christmas, and because I come from a very small family (just me, mum and dad) I've always been jealous of the idea of a big family Christmas. We're having the in laws to stay this year for the first time and it's going to be so exciting. Even my husband is saying he's feeling Christmassy and I normally have to force him to get festive!

48 days left til christmas - eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I'm so excited I might pee my pants, I had a look on OC today and it mentioned getting your christmas wardrobe sorted - now this is a good idea as I always leave it til last minute to get some party outfits together and I end up really stressed when I can't find anything so this year I'm going to get one outfit at the start of december and dig out a couple of things out my warcrobe that will do also for christmas meals out etc; also planning on getting my hair coloured on saturday while my husband is shopping for me(yippee), always leave that too late as well so at least that will be off the list cos it will still be nice for christmas cos my colour lasts a while.

You are all doing so well!!

I've done really badly this week. I have managed to completely sort my son#s room and get all the halloween stuff packed up to go in the loft but that's about it.

I couldn't even manage to make a dentist appointment!!

next week I should have more free time from work so I'll get on with a few more things I hope! Well done to all of you!

    Only 7 weekends to go!!

jamtart - thanks for that site - I'm going to explore it further - I love lists!!

    From yesterday:-

    [strike]1. Ironing
    2. Tidy girls' bedroom
[/strike]3. Start writing letters to go in friends' Christmas cards - I'm cutting down this year and only writing to the people who really matter.
[strike]4. Make final Christmas present shopping list - going shopping on Sunday!
    5. Tidy living room (toys everywhere!!) [/strike]

So not too bad - came down stairs this morning and the house is remarkably tidy (for us!) - no ironing, no dishes, no hoovering to do, no tidying (yet - the girls are just up!) - it's a great feeling - I wish it would stay that way!!

    So for this weekend:-

    1. Start writing letters to go in friends' Christmas cards !
    2. Deep clean bathroom.
    3. Take DD1 to Rainbows party
    4. Remember to collect DD from party
    5. Visit charity shops while she's there - I'm looking for something to wear for a Christmas night out with my friends. I should really take my daughter with me - I call her 'Trinny' when we go to the charity shops because she can spot a sparkly dress a mile off! Her dressing up box is filled with some marvellous designer dresses (all too small for me of course!)
    6. Final Christmas present shopping tomorrow - I am armed with my list and ready to go.
    7. DD1 to write some more cards.
    8. Do some more Hama bead decorations.

OH is going to the local farmer's market today to look for some nice bits and pieces to put in the freezer for Christmas - that's about all he does for Christmas preparations - that and fetch a Christmas tree! Not that I mind, I wouldn't want him spoiling my fun now, would I?!!

    Have a great day!

    Love Gill
