  • Thanks Canucklehead, so I take it it's not something BG would do as part of their 3 star cover?

    Thanks LM

Good afternoon: Powerflushing is definitely an extra for which BG will charge several hundred pounds. You could DIY or get an independent CORGI in to quote. As a rough guide, the OH charges approx. £300 for a seven rad system here in the southeast and it would take the better part of the day depending on how dirty and large the CH system is: a 'Boiler Buddy' or 'Magnaclean' fitted to the return pipe before the boiler will help reduce further 'sludging' after a flush as well as the addition of central heating inhibitor.

  • Thank you Canucklehead, I'd imagine the prices would be similar down here in Sussex, we've got 10 rads so that would bump it up a bit. They've certainly not been cleaned through in the 10 years we've been here and doubt they were before that either.

I'm off to update OH now.

    Thank you once again,
    LM
