Our account was open and credited back in early November.
In their defence though, at least they are freindly on the phone and confirmed without fuss that I did qualify and would get the wine (eventually).
How long do you have to wait for a secure message reply? I sent one for my wife's account (because I can't phone)...0 -

I suppose... sorry for being grumpy.I'm rather phone-phobic so my DH is the one who talks to them! I looked at our secure messages and they don't seem very helpful, the only one we'd had said we'd get the wine within a month of crediting our account with £1500, despite it being over a month earlier that we'd done so. I don't think they replied especially quickly, so we have been phoning since. Did think about sending them a message earlier, but reading other comments on this thread I think I'll get DH to ring this evening instead.
:shhh: There's somewhere you can go and get books to read... for free!

Hi,
i got my code yesterday after complaining by phone about 9 working days ago. Seem to have more luck if you complain by phone. They do not seem to be aware of who has had the voucher and who has not so best to make a phone call.0 -

I sent a secure message so just waiting to see what happens. I thought there might be a link to 'account closure' but no such luck!! I've only got about £7 in there so no great rush0 -
Am pleased to report that my wine actually arrived!
To any of you frustrated by this offer... hang in there! What actually did it for me in the end was sending a secure message. Took a whilte to get a reply but when I did it was apologetic, promised the voucher and it arrived (by email) within a few hours.0 -

Errr.... further to my earlier post I got an email on Wednesday with my voucher code in. The wine arrived this morning. I was just checking my email before opening a bottler of red and...
I have another voucher code!
I feel a test of conscience coming on! What do I do?
(1) Say thankyou very much and accept it?
(2) Do the honourable thing and ignore it?
I have set up a poll to test the collective consicence of my fellow MSE-ers
There is a certain irony in all of this :rotfl:0 -

It would only be Smile that lose out - go for it!!! If not, auction it on Ebay0 -
What an interesting turn of events.
I was told last week, by secure message, that I am not eligible for the wine and if I wanted to complain or close the account etc etc.
Today I called their customer services dept, on 0161 4771927 (from saynoto0870), and stated their T&C to them. They checked with their marketing dept and confirmed I AM eligible.
So previously, Rachel Carr, Team Manager, gave me a rubbish excuse to try and stop me claiming the wine.
Beware! Call them if you disagree with their messages.-The Bug0
