Sky subscription "credit crunch" offer

I phoned to downgrade my package from £57 a month to £22 over a month ago (cancelled movies , sport and HD). I haven't been charged at all this month though. I'm very tempted not to tell them but scared they might just add them all up and charge me at a later date.0

If you downgraded near the beginning of your billing period, your account will have been in credit, and you will not have needed to make a payment.
Remember, you pay in advance, so if you paid £52.00 for the month beginning say the 17th of the month, but then you downgraded on the 20th, you will have been downgraded straight away, and any credit due to you as a result of the change, will be applied to your account, so there could well have been £22.00 credit on the account as a result.
In the same way, if you add Sky Sports for example, to your £22.00 per month package exactly half way through the billing period, you will pay exactly half the cost of Sky Sports for that month, plus the full cost for the next month, the next time a payment is take.0 -
Ah thanks. That's probably it.0

Well I'm not too happy, I rang Sky to try and get a deal for the movies over Christmas - I've done this for the last few years and they always give me a 3 month deal. Today nothing, nope, if I want movies I have to pay and extra £7 a month on top of what I pay now. I told him I can't afford that, threat of redundancy looming, may have to cancel the whole thing etc, offered nothing. Really unimpressed, have decided to ring back next week and cancel the whole thing unless anyone has any ideas?0

I tried them for a cheap 3 month "credit-crunch" deal. They said they had nothing to offer. Though I didn't go down the whole "I'm stopping my subscription" theme this time.26/09/2017 - Started comping again. Wins so far: 1!

has anyhere tried moving from Talk Talk line rental and Broadband to Sky?? if so did it work and did Sky make a comment? as i had been told its not possible to move between TT to Sky due to some technicalities at the exchanges...
I was with TalkTalk line rental and broadband, but connection kept cutting off every hour. Tried everything to get them to sort it over a 5 month period to no avail, so I cancelled my contract. I then had to get my line rental back with BT, on the cheapest package for 1 month, and then got sky (see, speak and surf package).
No problems.0 -

I haven't got Sky at the moment but am looking at getting it sometime. I think they might finally be offering the deal that will make me sign up - I think its as close to free as its going to get!
Installation is free with a Sky+ Box - saving £30
Sky+ Boxes are currently £99 - reduced from £150
Sky are offering £50 M&S vouchers and £15 credit (til the end of today only)
Quidco offer £35 cashback for new Sky+ customers
That means that all the offers more than cover the 'one-off' costs and leaves me just to pay the £18 per month for the 2 mixes that we want!...Bargain! The M&S vouchers will be handy for Christmas shopping too.0 -
Got another 3 months at £3pm for 1 mix. Will do for me til February0
