Yes, but did you need to mention the "by a five year old" bit ?? If you can't see that as rude and sarcastic, you need to go back to school yourself.

Maybe the proposed letter was written by a four year old in which case it would be a compliment.;)
  • i got the 3 quid deal just now but the guy said he would also credit my account so that i would not have to pay it. so no sky bill till march 09
i told him i had just been made redundant and couldnt afford sky

I genuinely phoned up to cancel a few months back (had'nt seen this thread at the time) as I only have the Sky for the Sky+ now, don't watch any digital channels anymore, am at the missus's 50% of the time and have been given a TUTV box, so had no reason to keep Sky. I was in shock and amazememnt when they offered me this deal (bear in mind I had not heard of something so silly before), so needless to say I accepted it.

It has another major advantage for me in that it allows me to keep the Sky Talk Landline that I have been enjoying for the past year or so, which keeps me away from SCUM (aka BT).

Anyway, the period has come to an end, so I telephoned Sky to request a cancellation for January 10th (wanted to keep the Sky+ over Xmas). Anyway, the guy came back and offered me the plan yet again, explained it as if I had never been on it, so obviously their systems don't record it, and placed me on the plan again with immediate effect.

Last time I ended up having a month free for TV and landline because I was in credit, so hopefully that will happen again. That will be £84.00 saved in 7 months. Nice one!!
  • What tel number is best to use for sky, have just phoned 01506831006 spoke to gentleman who then put me thru to a different dept( after me having to explain half a dozen times i did not want to wait until mid December to see if they were able to reduce my bill again. Adv wanted to cancel now if they were going to charge me old rate again). Have been on hold 49 mins and given up the will to live!!!!!!!!!!

We cancelled about a month ago, just got a call any package @ 50% of the cost for 6 months. But tbh we don't miss it that much, so declined it.

I dont have sky in at the moment. I dont really fancy paying for it to be installed either to be honest. Do they do any "freebie" packages does anyone know?
    Thanks
