Jus had new book today. Tempted by the HD+ offer. Read of rise in magazine letter and also had another letter explaining new charges.

Went for the HD offer myself - better than the refer a friend.

If you do go through quidco and online and you'll get 2 x £15 back
  • I called to lessen down my package and they offered the continued package which included all six mixes, movies and sports for £30 for the next 3 months.
    You are 48% tight

Just went and checked how muh a month I was paying and it was £38/month. According to their website if I remove movies it drops to £22 so I was paying £16 a month for movies which is shocking

I asked to remove them as I said it was cheaper to rent from Blockbuster and they offered me 3 months at £7 taking it to £29. I've taken this up and he advised me to ring back before end of the 3 months to see if theres any other offers.

Also checked re HD and was quoted £75 for box, £30 for ins (free if you take multi-room) and £10 a month subscription. Currently 22 HD channels and 6 more by end of October which are mainly movies

Thanks a lot, not a huge saving but it all helps

  • Having read all the tips from the site I decided to give it a go. Initially spoke to someone in India and I stated that I wanted to cancel my contract.
I said that I fancied sky plus but couldn't afford any extra payment so was going to cancel and buy a recorder with the saving and use freesat. He straight away offered me 6mths free phone calls. I explained that I was tied into a phone contract and he then put me through to someone in Scotland.
Explained again and asked me to wait for a couple of minutes as she might be able to wave any costs.
Final result, sky plus box free and no installation cost. Should be fitted next week.

From my own experience of having Sky installed I would hope it is not one of their guys.
    He was useless.

Rang last night and they offered me free telephone line rental and sky talk for 12 months saving around £15 a month very pleased with that. He did say there were no offers on the TV mix at the moment as we already have all the channels but to try again in a couple of months to see if any offers are available then.
