Indeed they could - I hope it does well and builds channels and HD coverage so that there is a viable alternative to Mr Murdoch0

Getting very confused reading all these posts. Signed up to Sky yesterday and now wondering if I did get a good deal after all. Brand new customer and we've got Sky+with 1 premium(variety mix, knowledge mix,sky movies 2) plus Sky talk unlimited (3 months free) not taking up Broadband offer at moment because tied in to AOL at present. We had to pay £30.00 set up fee because we want dish on chimney stack. This comes to £27.00 a month then increases by £5.00 at the end of 3 months free Sky talk unlimited. Worked out I'll be saving on cancelling BTOption 3 and just paying BT line rental. Have I got myself a good deal or shall I cancel? plus is Sky Talk Unlimited hassle free? much appreciate any advice.0

In all honesty I would rather do without Sky, I really would.
I work shifts, varies between 7am starts, 4pm starts, and night shifts so it's good to have the ability to record with Sky+, although we had a freeview recorder anyway.
The only reason I got sky was because the freeview signal has basically broken due to some nearby building work. It was fine for the first year, year and a half. But the last 6 months it has been too poor to watch, kept jumping around.Amo L'Italia0 -

Edit: Or would they demand all their equipment back?
If you cancel the contract within the cooling off period you would have to hand the equipment back. But you only have to keep any TV package for30 days so once this is up you can downgrade your subscription and just pay the £10pm to keep the Sky+ activated.0 -
Has anyone else found that Sky has increased their DD payment auotamtically by £1
How can they do this without my consent?!

I think they do it automatically every September, and I think it's in the contract that the subscription charge is subject to change.Amo L'Italia0 -
hi, can anyone offer any tips on the best way to go about changing our Sky deal? - we pay £47 per month with all mixes, sports and movies. I think we want to drop movies and maybe the kids channels but also get two Multiroom boxes, one for me and one for my disabled grandmother who lives with us. I want a deal! we dont really want to spend anymore than we are now on Sky, and ideally really would like to spend less! any suggestions? thanks
