Is that the one at the petrol station? I use that sometimes when in a hurry, but know most of the prices are higher than the usual tesco... thanks for the tip - makes Co-op look cheap :p

Yes!! Sorry about the lateness in replying, no excuse...I've been "seeing" other posts :rotfl: . Also they never seem to have anything other than high price brands in there

If anyone is interested the 99p store in North Street has 400ml cans of coconut milk @ 2 for 99p = 50p each. They're on the ground floor in the little cubby hole of food!! But be quick, you know what these shops are like for selling out quickly.

  • That's a good price must look out for those... I love curries!

Noticed today that Somerfield are doing 750ml Parozone bleach for £0.53p (lavender and alpine) so I got a couple. The £0.99p store on North st do their ones in a double pack for £0.99p but I wasn't heading into town today...

I found this site on another thread for spices etc:
    https://sslrelay.com/www.s98261916.oneandoneshop.co.uk/sess/utn;jsessionid=1548ff9346a51c0/shopdata/index.shopscript

Lots of them very cheap - I just need to understand the postage fees! I know that over £25 the postage is free but can't work out what it would be if you only wanted 5 packs - must look at the shopping trolley. (EDIT> Hmmm, works out pricey for 4 or 5 things!).

Hi all just to let you know that I just went to Robert Dyas on George Street and bought £3 worth of things - they then gave me a voucher to spend this Saturday only, which gives me £5 off any £10 spend. This is great as we wanted a couple of things from there anyway (that I couldn't be bothered to carry today)...

Eager Learner - thanks so much for the Robert Dyas tip: we walked into town in the torrent of rain yesterday so we could sppend our £5 voucher. Got stuff i really needed and it saved me a trip (& petrol) to B&Q:T
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • Hi all and glad you had a fab time Annie!

BB - I had a voucher but was unable to get into town in the end, really wished I had as I needed ziplock bags and a few other bits... will have to wait until they do the deal again...

    Latest Deals I have seen:
Sainsburys - BOGOF on chicken thighs and drumsticks - £2.99
    Sainsburys - BOGOF on 'I Can't Believe It's Not Butter' - £1.07 (I think)
Somerfield - Cheese on offer (Pilgrim I think) - £1.99 - works out around £4.99 per kg, cheapest I have seen in a while so stock up
Somerfield - £1 for Satsumas (or clementines... little oranges anyway ha ha!)
Co-Op - £1.29 for a huge bag of jacket potatoes
    Co-Op - £1 for plums or satsumas/clementines

    North street £0.99 store:
    - £0.99 for set of 3 kitchen sink or bathroom drainers (for plughole)- they fit perfectly
    - £0.99 for money tins (with money/coins design)
    - £0.99 for 5 x bars traditional Castille soap (which I will make 2 litres of liquid soap from each bar by grating them into hot water = 10 litres for £0.99!)
    - £0.99 for 2 x shower curtains (little Xmas pressie for mother in law)

Does anyone know when the new A!di in London Road is opening? It was meant to be Jan/Feb but due the the asbestos scare it was put back. I'm looking forward to it opening as I've never been in one before, sad eh?! :rotfl:

EagerLearner - I got some of those money tins for the children but they've got Disney Cars and Princesses on them, they're from Father Christmas as he always gets the stocking fillers from £Land and the 99p Store :D . They had some great little lined baskets with handles last week that I was thinking of getting to fill with HM cookies as extra gifts for people but I forgot to go in there, traffic is sooooo bad in North Street today. It took 15 minutes to get from the bottom to Ch.Sq.

  • I know it's not the Brighton Area but there is a local website that covers the Cheltenham Area called www.printmyoffer.com. Its got all sorts of local printable discounts on it. Maybe you guys down there should put a site up like it, there seems to be a lot of interest.. Infact everybody should do it everywhere.

Hi to all Brightonians, some v useful tips here, thank you.

Florist at 5Ways doing Lillies and roses for 99p if you're quick, brightens the place up a little. Butchers also, has superb black pudding and the organic chickens, local of course, are great value for good food, around £8 upwards for a family sized bird. Worth freezing a couple for Xmas day, much better option than dry ol' Turkey.
5Ways Photography also has reduced family/children portraits for Xmas from £149 to £99 and the new bar/food place is worth a visit. As for Ravens bread, it needs no introductions, but keep yer 'orrible mitts off the white Bloomer and Danish. They're mine, ok?!:D

    Keep the tips coming folks.:T
