I was in Taj yesterday, buying naan and pitta. Their pittas are £1.00 for 4 (5 pittas in a pack) so that's only 5p each!!! The naans I get are the huge ones - 3 for £1.29ish. I don't go in there often as I feel a little intimidated :o (perhaps overwhelmed is a better choice of words)
    Mortgage: Was: £154,495 Oct 2039 Now: £82,340.34 May 2037

I think taj probably has some bargains lurking, like the pittas - that's great to know, thanks - their 2kg bags of green lentils are the cheapest I've found, but for example their tins of tom puree are 72p and only 12p in asda.
Other committments on tues Brightonman - but thank for letting us know. Oh, and thanksfor the whitenight connection - still exploing that:T .

  • Hi guys & gals - was away in France on Saturday and got lots there - wine of course, but olive oil, mayo, mustard, jam, cous cous and cheese also great value.

How much is 2kg of green lentils at Taj then? Anything else there worth getting if I make a special trip?

Saw 'Burn After Reading' for free at the marina yesterday which was great, recommend it it you like the Coen sense of humour!

Somerfield still seem to be doing the Youngs salmon fillets x 2 for £2.29...

£2.99 which works out at 74p for 500g I think. And purple vamp says pittas work out at 5p each (see her post above). They sell very lge bags of basmati but I haven't yet priced them up. Will do possibly tomorrow.
Thanks for he salmon tip: must try & fit a trip in there.

Just a quick one - if you are in need of onions DO NOT go to Tesco Metro in Woodingdean, They're selling large onions for 70p each and small red onions for £1.02 each.

   That's horrendous - a mistake on their part surely!

No other deals that I know about apart from Yo Sushi offering 5 free dishes when you order 5 (the cheapest 5 are free) :T See their website or Martin's older e-mails for the voucher.
