I have been reading these little conversations for some time but am yet to say anything myself! Lol. Always the way.
Anyway, just thought I'd say Hi and hope everybody has a nice day today.
Having a bit of a fed up feeling sorry for myself day today as we are havign trouble with family and that. My OH worked for his step dad for a few weeks but he is refusing to pay him and now we can't pay the rent or anything. It's everso annoying. It makes me angry as he knows the situation we are in and that 'every penny counts'. I am also angry with his mother for not standing up for my OH, although she has never done his whole life so why should anything change now??
I am lucky we have my family who care enough for all of us.
OH wasn't home until 8.30pm last night after leaving the house at 5.30am. He had is out with his boss and is finishing at 4pm today
Means we can actually eat something not overcooked tonight!! :rotfl:
Looks like a nice day but I have no risked putting the washing out. I have a lot of housework to do today as we moved house.... 2 months ago... and are still in chaos
Our 22 month old DD doesn't allow for much housework to be done so it waits for her afternoon nap. Luckily she sleeps for 3 hours!!!
Oh and, just so everyone know, I'm 23, stay at home mom and general fabulous girlfriend :rotfl: starting Uni at the end of September though.

There is so much going on with everyone! I read through the thread (usually at page 3 by the time I get here) and I think about people but by the time I come to post I've forgotten it all
So hugs to all - especially those whose little ones are off to school. I am confident that when little bear goes I shall be completely in pieces!
I have just had a very nice electrician round who said that it was all okay except that the gas and water pipes were not earthed. I think that may be bad. Or at least, not very good.
At the moment I have mortar missing out of the dining room and kitchen walls, a leaky porch roof and tiles that have slipped on our roof. I have just replaced a rotten outside door and bought hand rails that I will need to put up (and I have absolutely no idea where to start)
But I do have a little bear who is happily having a nap - so it can't be that bad!
I think I shall have to have a no spend month - except we are going on holiday soon, so that may make a little hole in the pocket
I'll make it official - October for me is going to have to be a no spend month, apart from absolute necessities and chocolate does not count (but milky tea does)
For tea I am going to use the new Remoska  to cook sausages and peas and carrots and the new Tefal thingy for savoury rice.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
what does you OH do ..it seems a lot of hours
He's an electrician. But he's working in Birmingham at the moment, which is 50 miles from where we live. Not ideal but the money is better there than it is where we live so I guess you have to make compromises.
He was working in Birmingham for his step-dad, but he left at 5.30am and was home by 3pm each day. That was better although his step dad is a w****r:rolleyes:
He called about another job the other day just 1/2hr away so *fingers crossed* that turns out good.

morning again,
DD has hung the washing out, got it back in again, and its now out again  , its nice and breezy now, but the sky is looking black, I hope it can at least be out for an hour to have a blow, otherwise I will struggle to get it dry, I don't have a TD.
DD is going to make us pasta for lunch, I have had a quick swipe of the kitchen, and we are now sitting on the sofa watching bargain hunt
Welcome to Lilycharlotte x
See you later xx0 -
Just picked dd up and I'm pleased to report she loved it although she hasnt had a drink all morning as she says they only had milk. I will have a word tomorrow and ask if she can have water as she hates cold milk. I am a very happy mummy and we will have lunch then its off to her swimming lessonSorting my life out one day at a time0

Oh dear I am having difficulties! Trying to make chutney, have lunch, prep and freeze beans and keep an ear on the radio (proud Mum moment) as ds is going to be interviewed later. Think I might have to turn the chutney off until it is all over! :rotfl:
Joannasmum - so glad to hear little one enjoyed playgroup, my dd didn't like cold milk, would only drink it warmed up so she had water instead.
lunch is leftover hm hummous and pitta bread with some grapes and tomatoes
Dinner - Nasi Goreng (Kethrys fault, She wrote about it on her blog and I love the stuff) nom nom nom
Right off to stir that chutney!
