    Evening all,

Managed to get my washing dry in the end, its really blowing a gale here now, and its so cold, never mind I am on the sofa in a blanket eating Ben + Jerrys which was 1/2 price in Mr T :D , and waiting for 'how clean is your house' to come on, will have another early night, seem to be needing a lot of sleep at the moment.

    Have good evenings all, xx

Still haven't managed to read all the thread yet:rolleyes: But just came back and Christca's post jumped out, so now I'm throwing a tantrum and stamping my feet:o :rotfl: I get the travelodge email, but it's telling me I can't book a room until 6am tomorrow!!!! How come you're getting preferential treatment:rolleyes: :p:D Not actually sure what dates I want yet, but that's beside the point;) Off to catch up now.

    Evening all,

It has been a busy day as my kitchen is now at the 'filthy' stage where there are bits of plaster all over the place...leaking pipe yesterday morning meant that a good chunk of ceiling has had to be replaced, new sink going in to-morrow...that's if I get to shop early enough to bring it home....can't believe that it is actually being done, its exciting, but we are eating out to-morrow definitely, no oven and not sure that there are not bits of dust flying into food...

Hugs to all the lost souls whose babies headed off to pastures new to-day...my middle DGD (3 1/2) is telling everyone she meets that her school opens on Monday..(not sure if she can have a pre-school place this term) and that she will be learning a new language, which she pronounces as Oirish...to add to the English, Japanese and Dutch that she already speaks, have a feeling that she will expect to be fluent on first day and refuse to go back if that doesn't happen.
wmf...was that the poem which starts "He's gone to school wee Hughie and him not four...." used to know most of it, but have forgotten it, if anyone has the words would love to have them tia.

Welcome to LilyCharlotte, you will like it here.

So jealous of all you people with your 'whoopsied' this that and the other, very few reductions here, Tesco is 24 hour so difficult to know what time to go to be lucky.

Hugs to all who are not feeling well, not naming names as I will forget somebody for sure and then whoever it is won't talk to me!

Going to try for an early night, having DGD around this week is lovely, but very tiring...must say that she is being very good and not as whingy as one might expect as it is her first time for Mammy to be away from her, but they had so many things to do in Holland and no longer any house there that it was better for her to stay with me.

    Sleep well all,

    Marie

    Wee Hughie
He's gone to school, Wee Hughie,
    An' him not four.
Sure I saw the fright was in him
    When he left the door.
But he took a hand o 'Denny
    An' a hand o' Dan,,
Wi' Joe's owld coat upon him -
    Och, the poor wee man!
    He cut the quarest figure,
    More stout nor thin;
    An' trottin' right an' steady
    Wi his toes turned in.
I watched him to the corner
    0' the big turf stack,
An' the more his feet went forrit,
    Still his head turned back.
    He was lookin',
    would I call him -
    Och me heart was woe-
Sure it's lost I am without him,
    But he be to go.
    I followed to the turnin'
    When they passed it by,
God help him, he was cryin',
    An', maybe, so was I.

For Marie, is this the one ? xx

    Evening!

Beemuzed - good news about your ds, must be a big relief for you

Well kids had kievs and oh and I had curry, will save the rest as it's on dd2's meal plan for Friday I think, so they can finish it off then if I add a few bits and some coconut to sweeten it a bit.

Water finally came back on about 7.30, what a total pain being without it all day, our village did make the local news though! Think I just missed them filming when I walked back from blackberrying, I could've been the purple stained mad woman waving in the background!

dd3 enjoyed her first day back, and before I collected her I popped to Asda with dd1 and dd2, they both needed white bras, got plenty of coloured and patterned ones, but no plain white ones that fit!

Not done much else really, pootled and pottered and chilled out. Off to bed to catch up with emails with a cuppa I think. Enjoy your evenings all xx

Candy, I'm pretty sure you can freeze them.
Or, you could thread them onto string with a knot between and hang them to dry :D.
