  • And about being 'discreet' - they have a complete disregard for anyone and anything, the 2 cars that park outside the house regularly are not taxed for example - one has an out of date disc and the other no disc at all!

Thanks - reported one car twice - the other just the once - no action as yet though. DVLA have visited our road in the past and removed cars - hope they hurry back! :D

  • If they are awake making noise all night, then put the birdie song on repeat with speakers against the walls when you go to work, and they are trying to sleep.

If they are Eastern European they might like the Birdie Song. You have seen the Eurovision Song Contest surely.

    Well - a quick update.

Dumped car is still outside, noise and disturbances are as bad as ever - 3 hours sleep for the past 2 nights, and we;ve called the police out 3 times now - I really don't like doing that, it's a last resort.

I rang the LL in a rage this morning, and he was so patronising I wanted to reach down the phone and strangle him! He said he was worried as they are not nice people and could be damaging his investment - I said as I drive for a living and was becoming so tired and stressed over the whole situation I could possibly have an accident and kill myself or someone else (over dramatic, but I was soooo knackered!), and bricks and mortar can be reapired but people are not so resilient and he said 'no, you shut up and listen to me, I could be losing lots of money here'!!!

I ranted and raved a bit more, and he said he'd given them a verbal notice to quit on the 12 September, and would be putting it in writing on the 12th October, then they would have a further month to vacate the premises, and if they didn't move out then he would consult his solicitor. I offered to take his phone number, so I could ring him at 3am and he could see what we are having to put up with night after night - but he declined my offer!
As you can guess I wasn't that happy, and said I was terminating the call before I said something I would regret.

My boss then found out what had happened, and took the details from me, and phoned pretending to be another resident. The LL couldn't have been nicer to him, it was all 'yes sir, no sir', and said the bit about the verbal and written waring, but that everything was in hand and he had already consulted his solicitor for a speedy end to the problem. I did say earlier that he didn't deal with women!

So - I'm not really any further forward, I'm dreading going to bed tonight, but at the first noise from next door I'm calling the police out. The diary is in progress for the council's environmental health department - I think the time has come for some action!

What I'm really cncerned about (and I know it's trivial!) mis that we are getting married in a few weeks time, and if they are up to their 'best', I'm going to be falling asleep beofre we sign the register!

Thanks for reading - I expect you are all fed up of me now!

If I know what those things were I could tell you LOL!! Probably best I don't know though.

I honestly wouldn't go there though, however desperate one might be, and however good they were!

  • If I were you I would phone the police every single night. I'd also contact the Inland Revenue, Home Office (the girls'/men may be illegal immigrants), and I'd put posters all around the area saying how the 'respectable' landlord rents out his flat and which appears to be running as a brothel. Stick one up in his shop just for the fun of it; he'll rip it down, but he'll know how serious you are about exposing him.

Ring the local council to have the cars towed away, contact your local newspaper (even the national papers) and you could contact your local TV News. It's worth a try.

Maybe someone should inspect their dustbins too - there could be all sorts of evidence in their.

You could also set up one of those flasher light things - so every time a man walks into the house he'll think he's being photographed. He'll love that!:D

Could you by any chance hide some kippers close to their front door?

LOL - or posters outside saying photos are taken and passed on to the police and their wives.
