Your XBF is unbelievable. Firstly you've done nothing wrong (apart from putting up with this freak for this long in the first place). Theres no point sitting around doing nowt but equally theres no use in antagonising him if hes the sort to take any form of revenge. I do feel very strongly that you need to completly eradicate this verminous slimey toerag from your life once and for all. Internet stalking is not normal in any way shape or form nor is it acceptable or even tollerable behaviour. You should not have to change your user name or any aspect of your life because of someone like that. I would have a quick tidy up of your most recent posts though. Especially the ones which refer to the area in which you live as XXXX council. After that you're as anonymous as the rest of us.

It may help at this stage to briefly reiterate that the problems you're having with your son from your third marriage which went so disasterously wrong when you accidently stabbed your husband through the heart with a stake whilst in your vampire themed honeymoon suite are completely unrealated to your current ex issues. Helga, your current girlfriend and ex-Russsian Mafioso, should be able to give you a few pointers on the art of disarming a man from 20 paces armed only with a really hard stare.

From experience men have the attention span of a gnat and will only read the very first and last posts and there aren't many of them. What we need is a cunning plan Baldric. Perhaps a thread entitled "Help Me I have a freaky cyber stalker as an ex-BF" would be a good start.

Glad to hear the works picked up Lula!

Maybe I should air my vices on here? I adore anything lemon - cake, sponge, tart etc (except lemon posset which doesnt mix with red wine:rolleyes: ). There are some great books out there: Who Moved My Cheese? and Eat the Frog (I think that's what its called).

Lula, its a pity you don't live in my neck of the woods otherwise I would drag you out on Saturday to help wash cars at the fire station with all those firemen;) Thought I'd bring a little smut on here to cheer you up.

Small Business networking - there is a group on facebook that has been created for start ups and they also have an online presence: https://www.thebusinessdirectoryoneline.biz - it might or might not be useful.

    Boredom over now ;

    Strange but true :

The driver turned up at midday, which is the same time she has always got here  maybe the boss not so silly after all  .

I finally had the phone call from leaflet man :j & he has been round with my new satchel :D & map with all the roads I have to cover, nicely filled in with highlighter. Fortunately I am allowed to use my discretion as to which properties I deliver to as he thinks I'm an intelligent woman :rotfl: I told hi that i would start tomorrow & he was very pleased & said that if i have any issues then to contact him ... I assured him that my issues were both many & varied but he may not the right man to discuss these with  .

Sorry to say thank you for making me laugh.

My initital feelings about finally getting to start were relief, & gratitude that I found the job, was offered the job & can now start. I did keep my faith in him but my desperation was making it falter a bit.

I am elated really but since then somthing else has occurred which has completely put a downer on things. Had a call from xbf ..... no change there  but this time he told me that he's finally joined 'that money saving site with that tv presenter you were always going on about'

I actually felt sick. I asked him why & his reply was that he wanted to get close to me & check up on who I'm talking to :( . He then asked me if my username was **** as this person has posted on the credit card board & he knows I have the particular card that user was asking about. I really cant explain how I feel about this, it's just horrible & creepy. I told him i thought he was sick & he just doesnt get how creepy that is. Am I overreacting ? It's not about me saying stuff about him ( all of which is the truth) I dont like, it's just the thought of someone being that obsessed that they trawl through threads to find me :( I said that i just used the site for information & that I didnt post... but he may well remember seeing my user name from way back as I use it for other sites. He could be reading right now :(

I now feel that I should change my user name, & that moo isnt far wrong about a restraining order... but that doesnt include the internet does it ?

    any advice appreciated
    thanks
    lula

Lula, I really think you need to get the police involved, keep a diary of events, records of when he called, if he leaves a message then copy it word for word, but have someone with you so they can back up that its correct. Also it may be worth contacting a solicitor, ring around and ask for a free initial interview, (usually get 30 mins), again take every bit of evidence you have, and they may suggest keeping a diary of harresment and going from there, its a 50/50 situation at to suggest who would be the best the police or solicitors but edge ur bets and go for both, also if you are with BT, contact the nusiance calls bureau as they can assist, you may have to change your telephone number, they will do that for free for you, the police + solicitors will also recommend that you change your mobile number, email address, etc.

If you need to chat pm anytime.

    Evening all

& thanks to Mum2one & Shoe Gal for your advice & support, & I am glad I do make you laugh, a sense of humour is essential on this planet.

You may have noticed that I have moved & am now living on the remotest island in the world - one has to have permission to even land there & the only access is by sea so feel quite safe here for a while. There were a few other options; Moos' chicken coop, Sarahb's wardrobe ( rejeceted due to fears of suffocation & lack of space :p:D ) or even TDQO's mine but I had a very whirlwind (24 hours) romance with a lobster catcher named Fred De Fish & we moved last night. Obviously I've had to also change my job so am now doing prawn deliveries on a purely self emplyed basis. I have also taken the precaution of growing 4 inches & having my hair bleached & cropped.

After that unpleasant business in the full moon suite Helga felt it best that we swap indentites so I am now in the witness protection programme & she is currently glaring at the cyber stalker from behind bars . If you're  imagine how I feel  .

The first day of doing prawn deliveries was quite tiring & it's amazing how many people have little notices up stating that they do not require any unsolicited prawns, there are also many with very vicious delivery slots & it is a miracle that I still have all my fingers left.

I've had communications from the cyber stalker who declares that 1) he had to check the site out as I was always going on about it ... true :o & 2) he hadnt realised that what he was doing was creepy or wrong or he obviously wouldnt have told me he was doing it ... probably true  . I pointed out the legal implications for him & reiterated how disturbing it was, he apologised & said he was just very lonely, missing us & had too much time on his hands... Let's hope that's the end of it.

No money for any funds this week but the extra hours I did today will go on to next weeks wages.

I've just completed my 6th NSD in a row & frankly I'm scared that I will forget how to shop if i dont do it so plan to go & stock up on food first thing tomorrow before doing another couple of hours of prawn deliveries.

thanks again to all for support & advice :A

  • Next step: the publication of Helga's 101 Ways With Prawns and Lobster, along with a series of seafood chains (serving the entire population of Tristan da Cunha) supplied by Fred de Fish. You've heard of Rick Stein's Padstein, but even he has never taken over an entire island. ;)

Seriously, glad the first day worked out ok. :T I take it that the prawns were mighty heavy and you are soon going to be superfit? Sounds like a long hot bath (with book) may be in order. Hope tomorrow is silent with regard to the pestering one.

    Hello Lula

Glad you were able to start up on your prawn deliveries.

I sometimes have to deliver salmon fillets at work and I too have experienced the insanely fierce letterbox. I also hate the ones where the dog barks hysterically as you approach as I then have to push the fillet through without getting my fingers anywhere near the letterbox which can be quite hard.

Still this is getting you closer to DFD which is definitely to be :T

I am now addicted to tuc biscuits and am munching away trying not to get crumbs on the keyboard...life is so tough sometimes..
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Oooooh to tuc biscuits - yum yum :)

Yes I also had a couple of dodgy dog moments too, seemingly those people have brushes installed round the letterbox so you have to push your finger right in :(

Yes, the prawns are quite heavy & having walked for an hour & a half without stopping I expect to be getting fitter & leaner within the next week. I had my bath at 6, even before DD tonight so am already in my pyjamas ha ha ;)
