    Hello,

not much to report other than a NSD ( number 8 :D ) & a cheeky little buy from ebay :o . I was yearning for new furniture for my room & found a great little chest of drawers from a seller who lives very close by & was happy to do a good 'collect it for cash' deal :j . I am collecting it on friday which is great as I wont have to use another NSD & before anyone waves a finger at me... I shall be using emergency fund money & I dont care :p . You're half right Moo - I am pretty much a hermit  but I feel like I need a treat to keep me motivated & am fed up with keeping all my 'smalls' in baskets on a shelf in the wardrobe . I've also seen a fab victorian wardobe but the only way of getting it here would be with the xbf's trailer  so you can be sure I'm not buying that ;).

Went to the library to get some more books today :D so now going to retire to bed & indulge myself

    G'nite

Hmmm, having said I might not post for a few days... now you cant get me off the site

I'm just avoiding doing anything resembling housework/gardening chores & if I'm here then I can pretend I'm doing 'financial stuff' :D

I've been to the co op this morning & spent £3.67 getting a huge bag of potatoes, bag of carrots, bananas, loaf of bread, malt loaf & tin of beans. I now have £18 left to spend on groceries in January. I'm so determined to stick with £100 a month that I've added it to my sig

As each day passes I realise more & more just how much money I've been spending unnecessarily, & just how cheaply we can live if I actually try :o .

Recorder club starts again today so I collect DD & bessfriend at 4.15, give them tea, take them to Brownies at 6 then collect DD at 7.30. It would be great if bessfriends parents could drop DD home after Brownies...but it hasnt occurred to them so guess I'll just have to keep on doing it  .

    Just popping in for a quick update;

remember the application form that never arrived ? Well, today it did :D I completed & posted it within 2 hours -so keen  it would be an ideal way to earn some extra £'s & I worked out that I could pay an extra £100 a month off the debt if I get it. You'll laugh your socks off when I tell you what it is but keeping quiet until i know either way.... please keep things crossed for me

Ok ok the wait is over ........

I had a call from the potential employer at 1pm today asking to come to my home at 2.30 to interview me    . Cue huge whizz round tidying up, hoovering (without a hoover actually so that would be carpet sweepering  & in my haste I broke the damn thing  ) polishing & even cleaned the bathroom :o . Well, it's not normal to be interviewed at home so I guess I thought anything could happen  .

Nice guy, very honest & wry about what his business is & said I was just what he was looking for :D so he said he'd like to take me on WooHoo, YeeHaa etc etc :j . Now the embarassing bit ; all this excitement is for a job delivering leaflets :rotfl: & it gets worse ... he's a 'property trader' Oh yes, I have just been employed to deliver leaflets to people who are struggling financially to keep their homes. This guy will buy their property before it's repossessed & either sell it on at auction or rent it back to them, below the market value he assures me. Oh the shame of it :o . To be fair he did seem decent & was aware that it's not a popular trade but he reckons it's better than being reposessed  .When I first saw the ad I did supect that's what it might be but I need the money. I work my own hours, have my own area, basically all I have to do is deliver 2000 leaflets every 2 weeks & the work is over 44 weeks a year ie not in december or jan & not for a couple of weeks in august ( very handy as I've already booked my hol )

I'm going off air now as the OF just turned up so lynch me in my absence, pour shame & scorn on me & then I'll pop back later to soak it all up :(

ps - I really really love you all :D

    Hi Rosa,

thanks, I'm pleased that by doing this I can bring my DFD down from 27 months to 19 :D not so pleased about what it entails though :(. To be honest I feel very conflicted by the whole thing & before I'd even met the guy I'd pondered adding my own leaflet detailing this site, cccs, quidco etc etc :o . The areas targeted are very specific as are the properties within each area & after much deliberation it's an opportunity I cant afford to pass up. After all, my main concern is clearing my own debts, not the salvation of the masses although I will do something to rebalance my karma. Should anyone approach me directly I wont hesitate to offer my advice & point them in this direction.

I am not responsible for other peoples debt problems & my feeling is that we should all take responsibilty for our own actions. With my debt to income ratio I could easily go down the DMP route or possibly even attempt bankruptcy & avoid repaying them altogether but I am determined to repay what I have spent ( & the interest  ) myself & one of the ways of doing this is by increasing my income.

I dont believe for one minute that I am the only person here to be earning money in a manner that could offend someone else; one of the first posters I came into contact with admitted that she not only sold PPI for living but that she & many others in the same industry deliberately witheld information in order to do this. Live & learn eh  .

Aside from all that moral conflict I've had NSD number 9 today & earned enough this week to pay for my new chest without having to use savings so pleased with that.

I think you are doing the right thing, if you don't do it someone else will, I know it's not a pleasant situation to be in but you have to think of yourself and DD. You taking a moral stance and turning it down won't stop the leaflets being delivered, it will just stop them being delivered by you and it will add to your DFD which is pointless. I can't imagine anyone would think you shouldn't do it. You are a good, kind person and you have nothing to feel bad about. Yay to DFD in Sept 2011:beer: :j
