Why don't you sign up to the new Qype challenge. 50 first reviews for a £50 Virgin voucher. If you can't use it you should be able to E-bay it for at least £40. Its relatively easy money for writing 5000 words. You'll be that busy typing that you won't have chance to spend your £4 making a week of NSDs a doddle.
Meanwhile back on planet Moo I'm beginning to get my head round matched betting and am already in profit. Its most bizarre. To date my outlay has been £35 spread over 3 different bookies. I've got £15 from Quidco signup offers and I've withdrawn £29.51 from one account. On top of that I've £2.28 in another account and I have a match tonight which will result in just over £20 and a further £20 of free bets for future use. Still finding it all far far far too easy and extremely tempting to open more and more accounts which ties up bits of money all over the place. I'm sticking to the very small offers just in case I screw up which has to happen at some point.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Hello,
We've had a very cheap week end here, DD spent the afternoon at a friends house & had tea there as well meaning I could have the fish that's been lurking too long in the freezer & the last 6 chips too. I really could feed myself for a very small amount of cash each week, unfortunately on all the things that DD tries to avoid like eggs & jacket potatoes  . Anyway, all I spent was £1 on some bread so still have £3 left to play with :rotfl: .
Spent nothing todaytook DD to the park & then for a walk in the woods where I had the lightning bolt of realisation that what we need is a dog, not a man
.
I've just sat down to get a grip on all the direct debits that are flying about & am gutted that I cannot make a payment on either CC for the next 2 weeks if I'm to cover the tv licence, car insurance, home insurance, rac , rent & stupid christmas phone bill that came in at over £55  . Thankfully i've already paid the minimum on CC1 but that still leaves me with £112 to pay on CC2 by the 2nd Feb  . Frankly I dont have it unless I get loads of overtime ( very unlikely) or take money from the savings/emergency fund. I found a suitable job on gumtree last thursday & immediately rang for an application form & was told it would be in the post that day.... no sign of it & when I checked gumtree earlier the job is no longer advertised  .
Feel very grumpy & snarly - pmt - so may well avoid posting if I cant be positive over the next couple of days. Will investigate the Qype thing - :T & expect to have many NSDs this week
take care all & will return in better humour soon

Hey Lula... don't be too hard on yourself. You may not be making extra payments to CC this month but don't forget it's the hardest month of the year. Also all your bills will be paid so you'll not be getting into anymore debt.
Sometimes it can be good to have no money (only for a few days tho!) Just because you can't spend what ya don't have. I remember years ago when my benefits got messed up somehow and I only had £5 to last me the week, I then lost the £5 but I managed! Fair enough I was on benefits so rent/ct didn't need to be paid but I know if I'd have had that £5 I'd have spent it when obviously I didn't need to.
You don't need to stay away if you're not in the best of moods...we know what PMT's like unfortunately! But at least if you're not around we know why and we don't need to worry like the other week.
That's rubbish about the job you applied for...how annoying!... Something else will come up I'm sureInitial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80
Debt now Jan 2021 - £6,208.21

Lula, wish I could send you big hugs, you sound like your haveing a day of days.
Ok youve paid cc1, what is the minimum on cc2, ok I know u want to pay £112, but with the list you have got coming out, youve covered a damm lot, dont put yourself down, ur a lovely person, youve got a heart of gold, and dont forget that!!
You could ask 100 people and if they all answered honestly they would tell you that Jan is the hardest month of the year, put it another way, I bet a penny to a pound before you got involved with money saving etc that previous Jans have been a lot worse, but now as money saving etc is foremost on your mind, then it will seem worse.
If push comes to shove you may have to use your emergency fund, but if that happens then we cross that bridge when it comes, the money may take a few months to pay back, but ur going great guns and dont you forget it. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Morning Lula,
Sorry to hear that you'd had a bad day the other day, I agree with Bowski and Moo2.
Stop being so hard on yourself missy! What you've done so far is superb and if you do have to borrow it from the emergency fund then do so, you can always pay it back later in dribs and drabs.
(((Hugs))) to you and I hope you feel brighter soon.

Hello,
Well I did log on this morning & having read all your lovely sympathetic replies I found tears streaming down my face & had to shut down for fear of electrocuting myself  . Thanks you all so much & i have now passed through the homicidal stage & think the oversensitive/overemotional stage is coming to a close. I get so hyped up & stressed & this morning was convinced the dreaded depression was about to engulf me as it did this time last year... however, I am determined to never go back on anti Ds again so have been thinking positive thoughts all day & reminding myself how far I've progressed in the last year  :rotfl:; i no longer have to cope with the xbf - yay& I have all you lovely people to keep me company :A .
I now have to admit to being a complete tit: when I was working out all the direct debits due in the next 2 weeks I completely forgot to add in the tax credits which is why there was suddenly a huge shortfall that I couldnt understand . The thought of having miscalculated to such an extent that i couldnt keep up my repayment schedule really 'bummed me out man' & made the pmt even worse  .
Anyway, I have made a payment of £60 to CC1 today which brings the balance down to £2,452 & can make another payment of £60 next week too - phew :j . As regards to CC2, unfortunately £112 is the minimum payment  but as Mum2one says - I can use the emergency fund for that :T . Dont know what I'm getting so het up about as I'm not going on hol until August & frankly could get squished by a bus before then so wont start worrying about spending money until April. I may need reminding of this  .
So, things nowhere near as bad as previously thought & the total debt is currently at £6,166.80 so [STRIKE]should[/STRIKE] will achieve target of under £6,000.
I've had plenty of work today & consequently not spent anything so NSD 7 achieved but it'll be pretty miraculous if i get to 15 this month  .
Have reflected on the OF situation & decided that I dont really want to see him anymore - doesnt do much for my self esteem & would be very tricky should Johnny Depp turn up :rotfl: so now declaring myself a 'Man Free Zone' until further notice.
Big hugs to everyone for being so lovely :A

Glad about the tax credits at least it will help towarss the cc bill, ur doing really well with the debts.
Sounds like you have been through the mill one way and another, its not easy fighting depression, but you achieved before, and by the sounds of it you know the trigger points so you can at least nip it, in the bud.
Your doing brill 7NSD, ur getting me jealous here! I'm on NSD4, good going for me.
Sorry to jump in, but as ur on a man free zone, then Id better have first refusal on Johnny Depp, ...........xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Sounds like you've had an emotional rollercoaster of a week Lula. It will get better. Todays been the first day in ages that you've said you've had plenty of work which is a fab start to the week. Theres plenty of month left to get your remaining NSDs in and whilst we're thinking positive things ANY payment over your minimum is an achievement and counts towards debt busting. If you can pay more than the minimum great but you're not a hermit and you do need a treat once in a while. To be approaching £6000 is an achievement in itself, to do that and have an emergncy fund too deserves a very large chocolate bar and an incredibly cheesy chick flick - Mamma Mia, Top Gun or Grease should do the trick!
Meanwhile my achievement of the day was the relocation of the Christmas decorations to the loft, only 2 weeks after t'other half said he'd do it. In the end I got bored of waiting.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Hi Lula,
