Lula -Glad your back, had been worried about you as well, glad the service went ok re mum, at the end of the day you all did what was best for mum.
Years ago my mum worked in a home, the home was based in units of 10 residents, you knew who you were looking after, when one of the residents passed away, someone from the unit would always go, and manytime mum would say, ud never believe this so + so, no one came tovisit them, ye there was awack of "friends and relatives" turned up for the furneral.
Well donr on the Quidco extra payment, all helps out.
moo2moo, - think blockbuster use to beon Quidco, but also worth looking at Mutual Points, they do the Tesco trail. Sorry about dd, think its called sods law, another one maybe to avoid is "Hoodwinked" its a modern day Red Riding Hood, but its in the new style animation bit of a freaky film, we went to see it with a friend and her boy (hes 9) and he was screaming the place down, dd watched it, but said I dont want to see that again.
xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

OF sounds fabulous by the way, are you sure it couldn't develop into something more? I know you said you weren't looking for that, but somtimes these things happen when we aren't looking (apparently:rolleyes: ).Pay/save £20k in 2010 £5888.75/£20,000June Mini target 0/5lbs Total 23/40Ebay profit 2010: March £207:) April £95:) May £130:) June £0 Total £432:j0 -

Hello all you lovely people
Aww I feel all warm knowing I've been missed :A . Seriously guys I'm absolutely fine, just took a step back to deal with the family thing but I'm now 100% focused on the debt busting.
I can assure that should there be a blue moon & for some insane reason I find myself at an altar about to exchange vows the you will all be invited & the clothes challenge will be temporarily suspended.( No, Sarah I am not going to do it just so you can go shopping) It's not going to happen though. I am a bit old fashioned in that sense; I would'nt marry unless I was absolutely positive it would work. I realise that may sound a bit odd coming from someone who has 2 DDs from 2 separate relationships:o.
Both times I was engaged but just knew in my heart that I didnt want to spend the rest of my life with respective engagees. My dad still struggles with my wild/wanton/wilful/disobedient ways & never misses an opportunity to raise the issue of me having not married the father's of my children ( currently banging on about a will so that my worldy 'wealth' :rotfl: doesnt end up going to DD1s father)
I am not getting into any serious relationships until I'm debt free & my life is going in a direction I want rather than just round & round as it has for the last 20 years  .
So, the OF is a nice guy, good company, gets on well with DD, happy to hang out etc. but just not THE ONE so keeping things very low key & casual.
I'm hoping today is going to be a NSD & although I've run out of coffeeI'm not going to shop until tomorrow.
I had to borrow £25 from the dentist fund to pay Brownie subs rather than withdraw from saving/emergency fund so need to pay that back & book a check up soon.
Sounds like you could do with a break Moo2 & a few days of not being wifely will be sure to refresh you, not so sure about the half term break though  .
I now have a new big pink book to write all my spendings & progress in ( bought for my OU course & never used) & am just itching to get a whole new array of stationery products to play with
.
bye for now

Hi Lula,
Nice to see you back and it's understandable that you wanted to get family stuff sorted first.
You have been missed, I love reading your diary it's witty and serious all rolled into one.
As for marriage, it's not such a big deal these days and this is from someone who said she'd never get married but did. You'll know when the right one appears and then we won't see you for dust....
If you can resist going to the shops for coffee just for one day then good on you as I couldn't do it if I ran out of tea.
Catch you later,
Tea

Hi Lula
Glad you're back, I was also thinking you'd gone very quiet - sorry to hear things have been difficult - would a belated dodgy hug be of any use? :grouphug:

Glad ur ok, sorry about the family hassles, and glad ur back to the debt free front, like ur diary!
Good 4 u stick to ur principles, sometimes we just settle for 2nd best in relationships, I suppose I can laugh now, but when I found out I was pregnant, he was ok, then turned into a toss pot, at the time bumped into an ex, who we were together for 2 yrs, but had been split up for 4 yrs, he offered to take me and the baby on, yet when we were together I would of done anything for him, but didnt get the same commitment back, and then my best friend, (now an ex-friend long story), when he found out I was expecting he went out and had a tatoo related to me C12, (apparently Robbie Williams had a tatoo done with the 1st initial from name as normal but for the surname the number it related to in the alaphabet,), even though he lived 250 miles away he offered to put his name on the birth certificate. Hes 12 yrs older than me, lived 250miles away, full time carer for his mum, and bats the other direction!!.
When mt mum rang to tell hin Id had dd he was in that much of a spin, he ended up flushing his mothers tights down the loo!
I could of easily of taken up both or either offer, but I'm too selfish and think Im turning into an old spinster!! xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hello all,
RoasaBernicia - thanks for dodgy hug, they're always welcome
Sarahb - :rotfl:
Mum2one - there are some truly honourable men out there, what a shame i always dumped them in favour of fun & excitement ie complete !!!!!! .
The longer I live alone I think the more likely I am to stay alone; I like my space. However, I still believe that this could be solely down to the fact that I havent met the right one yet
.
Anyway, in spite of declaring to stay local with shopping I took a trip to tesco. I ended up spending £28 on groceries & another £12 on household items that are cheaper at tesco ie huge box of washing powder, clicky lighter thing for gas hob etc. I've quietly allocated myself a budget of £100 a month on groceries & another £30 for household & toiletries. I have already spent £77 on groceries so will need to be very careful from now on.
I also decided that it was time to do something other than look at the carpets so whizzed by argos & bought a carpet sweeper for £8.79OMG what a revelation, it took about the same time to do living room & bedrooms as hoovering but far less hassle & zero electricity. It works brilliantly although there is the small matter of cleaning the brushes after with the little comb provided. I am utterly stunned how simple the thing is & it picks up dust, crumbs, hair & even 2 hairbands from DD s room. I think I would be less thrilled if I had a big house but for 3 rooms here it's perfect, particularly as I've always hated hoovering  , I think I qualify for 'old style' now, just a shame I cant master the cooking
although I did buy a chicken with the hope of creating many fabulous meals from it - roast dinner & a chicken sandwich :rotfl: .
I got another 2 £2 coins to add to the pot & a few silvers for the sealed pot too. All the funds have been topped up & paid back so now I have the immense sum of £4 to spend until next friday  which should make my first weekly spend challenge very interesting.
bye for now
