DD had a great time thanks & is now safely tucked up, dont you just love bed time

Very much so, it's a shame that my DD decided 5am was a good time to get up. Granted she was soaking wet as her nappy leaked so she can be forgiven. I did manage to get half an hours doze once I'd changed her and put her back to bed.0 -
Hello everybody & behold my new persona as a second hand car dealer

Have had loads of replies from gumtree mainly from idiots thinking they can have my car for £30 . I would rather give her away for free than insult her like that - you can tell there's going to be tears when she goes
.
Anyway thought I'd whizz over to chobham to do a load of recycling & remembered a breakers/scrap yard there so poor car bounced her way between the pot holes & I leapt into the first door I saw with eyelashes a fluttering & a big grin & asking who wanted to buy my fantastic machine . Turns out it was actually the body repair shop which was very fortunate as the man there took one look at my beauty & fell in love :heartpuls ( the car beauty I mean , not mine :rotfl: ) obviously the badly painted( yes, by me
) wing didnt bother him in the slightest as he works in a bodywork repair place  . Said he'd call but in the meantime I had a text from a very nice girl asking if she could come & view on sunday... however, bodyman has just called & coming to pick it up on fri evening (cant have it before as I need to take DD to swimming ) & as he's already seen it & happy with the price I am :j , now just need to suss out which bit of the v5 I fill in so that he doesnt go commiting bank robbery & such in my name. Yep, I had a b/f who bought a car & registered it in my name without me knowing & then proceeded to lend it to a mate who filled it up with both petrol & all the flowers off the forecourt ... cue visit from surrey police at 4am  & yes I did decide to let the b/f go forth
. Talking of which the xbf was due for teeth extraction today :rotfl: .
It's also been a NSD which is great as I'm now over halfway there
. The only downer so far is that the debt has gone up due to interest charges  but should only be temporary increase so all in all a good day.
Bye for now

Wow..what a day... how good are you!!!!:T :T Glad you've got the car all sorted now.
I am so jealous you've managed so many NSD's (i am glad for ya aswell of course! lol) I havn't managed 1 yet... WHAT THE!!! I'm doing terrible and can't even see a NSD in sight
I know I'm awful but I didn't half smile when I seen what you put about xbf
Some people just deserve such things to happen to them
I can't believe I'm still up, been shattered for hours lol I should have known I'd be on till late as it wasn't till 11ish that I came online. I always have the best of intentions... i think 'i'll nip on quickly and see whats happening and then go straight to bed' yeah yeah!! Just not possible lol
If I don't get chance to get on before I go away... have fun with your new car :j

Lula thats fab news!
DD2 lost her very first tooth yesterday. I walked in from work to find her bouncing round the hall with blood dripping from her face and an enormous cheesy grin yelling mummy mummy guess what. She phoned both lots of Grandparents and wrote a leter to the Twf Faree. Yesterdays NSD was blown out by an emergency dash to the village shop for change. One bottle of wine later - thought it needed celebrating - and £1 to the tooth fairy total spend £4.29.
Have the schools inspector in today so the staff are running round like headless chickens. I'm hoping it stays dry then I can escape onto the playground and sweep leaves.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Hi Lula,
Well done on the car selling, sounds like you had a rather eventful day yesterday
Bowski - Don't fret about the NSD's some months they just don't happen as other things get in the way
Moo2 - Had to grin about DD and her tooth, £1 per tooth  I never got that when I was little
Have fun today everyone.

Morning everyone,
Thanks for all your good wishes. Congrats to baby Moo on tooth loss
, hope the school inspection goes well & you receive a glowing report.
Bowski - hope you have a fab week end & I want to hear all the details when you return
. I found the easiest way to do the NSDs is to start off with a couple a week, but it does depend on your lifestyle; because I work from home DD's school is literally at the end of the road then it is possible to avoid shops/going out a couple of times a week. I just try to only do food shopping twice a week on the days I have to go out anyway. Basically, I am so desperate to get rid of the debts that I have no life other than work, home, DD & the allotment when I can be a**ed  . I just keep reminding myself of all the things DD & I could be doing with an extra £300 a month & it makes me feel so guilty it spurs me on
.
I've had my virgin bill - £37 for the month, I'm happy with that as £10 less than last month. I've got enough lightspeed points to get a couple of dvd's / cds so will use them to 'buy' DD a couple of presents. Have to go buy some food & a present for Grandmother but have decided to only spend £10 max.
My home is absolutely desperately in need of chores being done so I shall get myself to the shops quick & then tackle the grime/dust/pile of paperwork
Catch up later...

Righty,
I did the dreaded T shop - I hate that place  but managed to spend £38.53 including presents for grandmother so quite a result. Have no idea whether we have enough food to last the week but am determined to only buy bread & milk as a top up so guess I just need to be a bit inventive.
Yet again T's have the cheek to send me a book full of vouchers that dont give the discount when they go through the till  so I marched up to customer service desk & when the assistant had finished his 5 minute chat with his colleague while a queue built up behind me, he gave me the discount without even looking at the receipt or to see whether I actually had the goods, if I was not so shiny & honest, that lack of attention could be abused
.
I've hoovered the living room & then had enough of chores so went to the local shop to top up the gas. Last week I had £9 credit, topped up with £15 then today when I looked there was only £5 left  , I think I got conned by the southern electric man & my next mission will be to get a better deal, I know prices have gone up but £20 a week is terrible.
I also went to pay my £2 coins in to the bank
feel sad but needs must if I am to continue paying barstycard £30 a week  I'll start again next year.
So feel very virtuous for paying in cash - unusual experience for me
.
Just had a call from someone about the car, wanted to come & pick it up now without even seeing it, told him I'd let him know if bodyshop man doesnt turn up. Seems my fears of it rotting away or having to scrap it for nothing were unfounded, but until I have the cash in my hand I wont believe its sold. Have given it a quick sweep & polish but it was given a really good clean when it was repaired so nothing major. I did contemplate sticking the cracked bumper with superglue but decided not to as guy already seen it in all its 'glory' :rotfl: . I just want this over so can get on with debt busting & christmas.
Will update later if any more news so bye for now

Hi Lula,
£38.53 isn't too bad especially if you managed to buy some presents as well; I know what you mean about Mr.T's I hate that shop too and only go in there if I really have no other option. Well done on the discounts being added with the Customer Services guy, it's like that here too.
I have a mound of washing, washing up to finish, the lounge to tidy and I can't be bothered...think it must be a Friday thing so don't feel to bad about having enough of chores.
Gas & Electric have gone stupid haven't they? I'm with you on changing suppliers, I'm going to wait until after Christmas and see what our next bill will be like and probably go back to the people we were with previous.
As for the car, you're bound to feel a bit sentimental but I'm sure the money would come in handy more and you do have a nice new shiny Clio
to love and cherish.
Catch you later,
Tea

At least you have mains gas Lula. We're currently paying 50p per litre for LPG so trying to use as little as humanly possible. The heating runs for 1 hour per day just to warm up the DDs bedrooms. Can't change supplier either as they own the 1000 litre storage tank which sits in the garden.
On top of that I'm burning £68 of coal every 2 weeks through the winter. Just glad we aquired every fallen local tree going earlier in the year otherwise it would be far higher than that. Our electricity isn't much better. in very windy weather the overhead lines rattle too much and the substation drops off line. So much so that last week I bought a petrol lantern. We already keep a petrol camp stove in the kitchen to save going out to the piggery to collect it. Don't get me started on the phones. It rains, the road get wet. Water seeps undergound and our phone connections get waterlogged and stop working. Longest we've been off so far is 6 weeks. We only get mobile coverage in the garden and then only by standing on the bench. Havig said that I wouldn't change it for anything. I open my door onto nothingness. I can see the stars almost every night and hear the owls and I have bats buzzing past the door. Tis fabulous.
Tonight I'm avoiding schools Cheese and Wine fundraiser by playing Guitar Hero on the Wii and having far more fun in the process, without having to fork out £20 plus raffle tickets.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
I got paid today and better still I got a pay rise. Whooo Hooo a whole 2.4% backdated to April. Bizarely in June I also got a pay rise of 2.4% so considering I didn't actually start working for them till April I'm positively ecstatic. Even if they did reduce my hours by 3 per week but since I'm now on almost the same money but doing less work I do believe I'll survive.
By way of a celebration I have overpayed my entire wage less £50 to the debts as the cupboards are jam packed. I had a few survey payouts and the weather means DDs riding lessons are off for the next few weeks because of waterlogged fields so I won't have to fork out £80 in lessons. On paper it looks like I have more than enough to cover all my outgoings. Obviously I'll regret doing this a week before the next payday but for the minute it feels great.
Went to a church fayre yesterday and blew 20p on a cheesy magnetic dominos game as a christmas gift for my little sister whos still a student and likes that sort of stuff. A further fiver bought lots and lots and lots of games so we spent last night playing Uno and Upwords by the fire. DD2 spent her tooth fairy money on an enormous bag of Polly Pocket things and has only left her room to eat and migrate to the fire as it gets chilly. DD1 is patiently sticking together a cardboard parrot which comes in 9 million flimsy little pieces, like idiot proof Origami with glue. The peace and quiet is lovely.
Parents didn't leave the Cheese and Wine until 2am saturday morning and are going in at some point this morning to clear up. I'm vaguely feeling like I should as I didn't go to the event but really I can't be arsed (hangs head in shame) and would rather slob around in my PJs. I have enough housework of my own to do and besides I'll have to deal with anything they miss on monday morning anyway. Have written the agenda for the next PTA meeting by way of placating my guilty concience.
