Hey Moo2,
great news about the tea towelswe like freebies.
I totally agree with you about the low mileage cancelling out service history & if I was paying it would already be in my garage, but dad is a bit of a do it by the book type, there have been many times in the past 3 weeks when I've wanted to say ' just put the money in my account & I'll sort it out' but a chat with my sis revealed that he feels very responsible for getting it right did admit that should have let insurance company write mine off now tho  . Car man offered £50 for mine - damn cheek it's got 6 months tax on it so worth at least £60

Glad to hear things on the car front are now sorted and it won't be long until you are tootling around again.

Where are you all hiding? An entire weekend without posts is most unusual. Hope you're not coming down with lurgi Lula.
I've had a corker of a weekend. Schools charity accounts are now completed and as of 8:30 this morning lodged with the auditor. Next years accounts are at school ready for collection by the next treasurer and my desk is almost free of junk, just need to rehome Barbies bikini and a million pens and I may even be able to dust it. Not that theres any dust on it as its been covered in crap for months but its the thought that counts.
It rained and rained and rained all day yesterday sooo being a scummy slummy mummy I didn't quite manage to get dressed at any point although I did manage a bath and clean PJs. OH got called out to work last night so I watched The Full Monty in peace armed with a giant Toblerone.Yesterday was my first no spend day of December because I wasn't desperate enough for anything to venture out in public in PJs. Hoping to make today a NSD too although the chickens will need feed by tomorrow.
Not making any headway with my plans to purchase a bit of the field next door. The estate agent keeps putting the price up. They said they'd consider £6,00 per acre so we offered that, they increased it again and again. Our last offer was £9,000 per acre but they've rejected that and suggested £15,000. Bah humbug. I was hoping for liccle fluffy baa lambs by Easter but thats now highly unlikely.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

I just read your post...are we in December now  (((wonders if she slept too long and missed November))) :rotfl:
Sorry to hear about the field...some people will do anything to try and get more money, there will be something somewhere that's ideal for your lamby things....just not near me, I'm petrified of them.
Lula - where are you hun? Hope you're okay.

Hi guys,
sorry I havent posted all week endI know it's most unusual  but I actually got off my backside & did stuff that's been on my 'to do' list for ages. I think dealing with the xbf has really fired me up into action.
We had swimming on friday & DD really enjoyed it & has made a new friend. On saturday DD had a day like you Moo2 ; in her pyjamas & I finally tackled her room  . DD1 actually moved out 18 months ago & since then her bed has become a dumping ground for anything/everything. I dismantled the bed, then remembered that damn greenhouse still in shed so had to somehow hide part of it behind the bookcase in the living room & the rest under my bed along with the 2 wardrobes, shelf unit, clothes trunk & 2 fold up chairs. Should fire ever break out I am doomed as I'm currently lying on top of what would easily keep a bonfire going for 3 days. Anyway, DD now has a lovely spacious bedroom again & has only fallen off the bed & whacked her head on the radiator twice so far  . I was just pleased not to find any food remnants this time. Didnt leave the house so not a penny spent
.
Sunday we stayed on the premises but got out into the garden & raked up all the leaves which was very invigorating & made me realise how much time I need to spend out there. I hope you do get your piece of land Moo, we have sheep in the field at the end of our garden & they're great. DD & I would really like ducks & a goat but as it's rented we cant
. My dream is to have a place with enough land for a few select creaures & some fruit & veg space too so can be largely self sufficient.
Have had quite a good amount of work today & although the private one has cancelled I'm quite relieved as I think tomorrow could be a car hunting day. I do apologise to you for not having sorted this out yet, you must be as bored with it as both Dad & I are. No history available on the 35,000 one so not allowed that one  but the search continues ... yawn.
3rd NSD in a row todaywhich is great & I did a £50 payment to CapOne so that's now at £ £2635; I also paid £30 off Barclaycard which now stands at £ 3651 so total now £ 6,287 ...getting there slowly
.
Dont worry Tea, we're still in November, well I am anyway. We were meant to be gong to a firework display last night but the weather was just too vile & I discovered that actually we could see most of them from the kitchen window although it's 3 miles away. Free & warm, I like.
Right must see what Tea's & everyone else have been up to ...
bye for now

Re the xbf - he called this morning to apologise & then said he'd finally got an appointment to have his wisdom teeth out. 'Oh that's brilliant' I said, he thought I was being nice & said 'not really' 'Oh but it is' I insisted, 'because it's really gonna f***ing hurt' :rotfl: & hung up.

Hi Lula... first chance I've had to catch up since last week!! I was hoping you'd have a new motor by now! (prob not as much as you're hoping though lol) Something will come up and I'm sure it'll be perfect!!!
You're doing great with your NSD's :T I've not had 1 this month, there's no way I'm gonna get my target, although I am still going to go for it, I'll try my best!!
The debts are coming down at a good rate Lula  I must update my sig but I don't seem to be able to get a proper answer off anyone at the letting agent as to how much I owe in rent arrears
Good work with the xbf... surely he's got the hint now?? How's your DD now about you's spliting up? I bet you's are having a great time together just the 2 of you. How did her mexican day at school go? I went on a mexican camping trip earlier in the year, we just used fleece's from B&M and made ponchos, and then just used facepaints, it was great!
Moo2...what the heck would that school do without you??? you're wonderful !!!!
Well I'm shattered, had a very busy day but not been to the gymgoing in the morning though
I am so tired, I feel like I might just shut my eyes and fall asleep here and not even attempt walking up the stairs. I'/m such a lazy sod!! When I get this tired that I dont wanna move, its usually only needing the toilet deperately that gets me moving.
Was nice to finally catch up anyways! I think my busy period is over and done with now, or I hope so at least so should be able to keep up daily.
Keep up the good work Lula... hope you're proud of yourself, you're doing greatInitial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80

Morning All! Following my faux pas of yesterday I can confirm it is still November. The December thoughts were a temporary blip brought on by a local schools Christmas fair being thursday night.
My school is well into Christmas Production practice. I keep thinking that this years version of the nativity really can't be any worse than last years when Mary (dressed like a Spice Girl) arrived in Bethlehem in a Skoda and the 3 wise men had escaped from an episode of Only Fools and Horses. I have a horrible feeling that it will be though.
Today is the final day for signing up for the staff Secret Santa list. I'm vaguely tempted but I just know I'll end up having to find something for the Headteacher for a fiver and with the rest of them sniggering about whatever it is for months as the person organising it has the biggest mouth on the planet and is the type to accidently on purpose let slip who the purchaser of certain items was. Definately in tight-wad mode today.
Happy car hunting Lula, I'm sure the right one will turn up eventually. Nice to see that your debt is steadily decreasing. At least while I don't have a field I can carry on debt busting rather than upping it horrifically. My garden needs tons of work doing anyway. Now I have a little bit more free time on my hands I plan to do some work on it, starting by trimming hedges. In 3 hour bursts I can usually do the lot in a week but I neeed it to stay dry long enough and for the moment thats not very likely. No excuse not to clean really, other than the book that OH brought home yesterday which I'm half way through already.
Bowski - I'm impressed you can get up early enough to go to the gym. I slob around in my PJs until the very last minute and then have another cuppa before running round like a headless chicken muttering about being late.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Hi Lula,
Well done on the productive weekend especially tackling the garden, I daren't venture out in ours.
Fantastic stuff about the debt, you're getting there and you must be so proud. It is going down!
Moo2 - Had a chuckle about the school play last year. Good luck with this years play and secret santa.
Bowski - Please can you send some energy over here? Like Moo2 it takes me ages to wake up and then I'm flapping because we're late.

Oh crikey don't be thinking I get up extra early to go to the gym before I do a days work  I only go in the mornings when it's my days off and after I've dropped DD off at school !!! But as it happens I didn't even end up going this morning... I didn't go to sleep till bout 4am. I just started to talk to someone online lastnight as I posted on here at 12:40am saying how tired I was ! and ended up talkin to them and being on facebook till blinkin 3:30!!! Then when I finally went to bed I couldnt get to sleep  which is not like me i'm normally out like a light!! So I didn't go to the gym, DD was late for school and I went straight back to bed after dropping her off and didn't get up till half 1. I had missed calls on my mobile and it was right next to me, I must have been in a well deep sleep. I won't be doing that again for a while thats for sure. I still feel tired now, can't believe I've got the chek to sit here yawning
I'm off to my Nannie's for tea tonite, I kind of invited myself lol I needed to go see them anyways so thought might aswell have tea there haha!! I've not got much in at the mo, really need to go shopping. And then I'm off to the gymreally gutted I didn't go this morning, its always nice to have it over and done with in the morning.
Hope everyone's had a good day...even if it is totally freeeeeezzzzzzzing!!!!!!Initial Debt July 2020 - £6,772.80
