Tesco's Officially Stopped Coupons????

when I worked at Asda we were told we could accept up to a 1/3rd of a bill in coupons as long as they were in date, we sold it and it didn't have any competitors names on them.Another thing we had to look for was a Corby address, we could take any coupon with a Corby address,if no Corby address you were supposed to buy that item to use the coupon!. Lots of people knew this and it would take ages to process coupons at the end of a transaction, but hey if Asda say they'll take 'em use 'em. Ask at local Asda Customer services how much they take.If they say don't know ask for Front end manager or a checkout runner. Start looking in the mags for all coupons!!!

i plan to go back tomorrow with the coupons that they wouldnt take last week and use a self scan checkout and see if that works...............

I went to the Thurrock Retail store today and chose the young man at the checkout. He however stated he could only take one voucher.

I've had a couple of problems at tesco - normally on the self scan tills - as v often they seem to come and check all coupons that you've put in the slot now.
However I have NEVER had a problem at Asda, yesterday I used £3 of vouchers off a £9.20 shop. I just tend to hand over what I believe to be a reasonable amount - eg if I was spending £20 would probably give about £6 worth, and just ask if they can please see if they take any of those coupons. At asda this has always worked for me so far, they just take them all!

Sorry, I have never tried, it is rare that I go near a Somerfield, but on the rare occassions I get them I've used them at tesco as i knew other ppl had used them there. I only ever use manufacturers coupons at Asda, but if u have some somerfield coupons, just give it a try, the worst they can happen is they say no!

My Tesco hasn't stopped taking them off me. I went today to do my weekly shop and handed over Somerfield vouchers and they took them.

They took £4.50 Somerfield vouchers from me today, with extra points vouchers given out in the Healthy Living mailing, total spend £9.20, with 221 points on a £22.45 shop! :j

aaaargh, just went into my local Tesco today, the checkout ops never take the coupons but the self scans do, they did not today, snotty jobsworth took the coupons out and said I can only use them if I buy the product, will try next week and see how I get on, would Tesco please stop changing the goalposts!

does anyone here know the answer to my question

if i buy some huggies at tescos, say 2 for £16, could i use say 5x £1 off huggies and therefore pay £11? would this work if i did it with my MIL's huge weekly shop?
