poor dd (and you of course lol) they seem to catch everything at the start of a new term dont they, hope she is feeling a bit better now.
I have been looking at the link to the flower flannels they are fabulous they look so good , but I'm afraid I am a bit like YB in the craft dept lol I would like to have a go though ( if I could make the reindeer ones for DD's friends for xmas that would be fab)
I have been busy in the kitchen this morning making bread, buns, chicken casserole and giant yorkie puds and just made some rice krispie buns they are setting in the fridge, think I will drizzle some choc on them when they are ready
hope everyone is ok xxAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Self-awareness isn't always easy, but we're here for each other on this board and on the road to getting out of our debt messes. I look forward to keeping up with your diary!

You could always make and give chocolate yule logs for real.... I would love a bucket of meringues, OH loves home made mince pies. Those peppermint creams we made as kids dipped in chocolate would be cheap and easy to make and look great in a jar - you can get nice jars from instore for £1.....Find what you are good at - and then go from there. Post pictures it brightens up our day!:rotfl:
i have had a little practice at making a reindeer with the flannel out of the bathroom:rotfl: and actually it wasnt bad - a little lopsided but I think i could manage those with the right coloured flannels and stuff
the cup cake socks I so LOVE that idea and those bright fluffy socks in primark would be ideal - I think maybe I am getting a bit too excited over this need to calm down :rotfl: I just think it is such a fab thing ( of course when i do them at xmas I will pass it off as all my own idea:rotfl: :rotfl: ):D0 -

Same here!! I am getting way too excited, DH said last night that if we were paid for the amount of time I have spent online researching basket contents (cheaply) looking out for flannels, socks, etc. we would be rich.
I too will be passing the idea off as my own!!
Wouldn't it be really funny if any of us received them as a gift??!! From someone we hadn't realised was on MSE!!

Yep I think if any of us get a sock monkey it could also be a big clue! I'm just hoping no-one penetrates our secret identity as I know a few people who use this forum! I don't know their sign in names either tho....
Someone posted on another thread that Tesco and Home and bargains have some craft sets in for about £1-2 with piple cleaners, wiggly eyes etc. Can't wait to get to the shopsoops isn't that what got me here in the first place? Seriously - this is miles better.....
I'm chuffed as after school club have agreed only have to pay until end of Sept before can cancel another of DS' days... that will save me £7.75 a week just there!:j I'm having to keep reminding myself that that doesn't mean I can go out and spend -it just means its easier to pay off debt quicker. My cleaner isn't coming this week either saving me £21 - first instinct ooh what can I go and buy for that  - then proverbial slap on the wrist - nothing get that OD down! It's starting to come a little more naturally tho!:D
Hope you are all having a good mse day - everyone!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi all - just got some make up freebies and grolsch glasses on the freebies board. Entered lots of pigsback competitions using answers supplied by msers-also on one of the boards. My sister is planning her wedding using ideas from here too!
Felt very down at work today - jbo doesn't feel secure at all - so trying to find something to cheer me up. I won £30 on bingo last night really chuffed as I did it thro a cashback site where you get more than your stake back anyway!
Just had a storecupboard meal... Not ate out or takeaways at all this week so good so far.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
