Those baskets look fantastic - I tried to look at work but they were banned!
Thanks for asking Cas - I'm fine now it's FRIDAY!!!!! Hurray. Am in pjs already but remembered am expecting shopping delivery - oh well - I expect they've seen worse lol :rotfl:
SH I like the idea of starting DHs Christmas shopping for him. I always drop hints and usually get almost, but NOT QUITE, what I asked for! After looking at your basket I spent ages trying to find a cello - what could it be I thought, I know musical people and it might be interesting to do a music themed basket . Then I realised, celloPHANE. I'm so dense sometimes :rotfl:
Have great Friday night all
Belle
I normally buy my own pressies in practice as I only get cross if he wastes our money buying stuff I don't want. Usually I steer him somewhere and say I want that but I also buy my own wrap ups sad I know. I've even counted myself in the number of pressies we need for Christmas. I am please tho as we've got a good head start. If all my freebies arrive that will help the hampers no end too.
By the way - ask your friends if they have any pretty baskets, cardboard boxes etc they don't want and use them as a base. I've been given some that way already. You could also ask for them on free-cycle. I've also been putting pressie into these round boxes I was given and because they were red it really sets the pressie off.... I might post piccies of that at some point too!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi everyone,
How are you all this autumnal morning? The sun is shining here but it is cold, really feels like autumn.
Aren't we all turning into a creative bunch with SH leading from the front. I love the items you have made so far SH and those reindeer are so cute, what do you put in them?
YB and SC, I laughed so much at the 'cello' comments, I was trying to keep 'in' with the 'in' crowd on the baskets thread, by writing it but when I first read it I did the same as you both. It really made me laugh. I was the same when I purchased my baskets on eBay (by the way I have had to buy 10 so have four spare if anyone needs any, might have to be for a small cost!! ) but anyway, I was reading the ebay item and it showed these lovely seagrass baskets:
and it said including 'bean bags' and I thought what on earth would you need a bean bag for!!!!??? Then I realised it was the lovely thing sat in the basket to put everything on..... drrr.
SH, you are doing amazingly well with freebies and competition wins, how do you find the time?
YB, SC & SH, and HTGDF, I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.
On the money saving front, I need a kick up the bum because we have started to slacken off. We have spent loads over this week and really need to tighten the reigns in again. How is everyone else doing?
A day at home planned for me today, I have the usual washing and ironing that comes with getting school uniforms, pe kits etc. ready for the week, but apart from that I intend to engage my 5 year old in some sort of activities. Feeling a bit guilty (as is a mums way) that since we all went back to school and work, she and I haven't had a lot of 'quality' (sorry I hate that phrase but can't think of anything else to write) time. OH is going to cook roast beef today and he and DS are at an early footie match today, so all being well a calm family day is in order. And more importantly a NSD, because boy we need a few of those.
My basket frenzy addiction has wained a little now that I have the basics in place and I have decided I will buy ONE last item for each now to personalise, so will be working on finding those between now and xmas.
Off to have another cuppa before I get going proper!!
Love and hugs to you all.

Sistercas, good luck with those, the trick seems to be in folding the flannel or socks, check out this link for step by step instructions:

Best of luck.
