Felt very down at work today - jbo doesn't feel secure at all - so trying to find something to cheer me up.
Must be 'feeling down at work' day!
This week has been hideous - and I still have two days to go. Just want to have some duvet days and no hassle. Hope all your days have been brighter

I have resisted going shopping today which is better than I've been in the past - luckily I already had chocolate in

Latest finished basket!
Why do you hate talk talk. We've just moved to them - our internet keeps breaking but it is only 2nd or 3rd night in....
I was also threatened with court action and bailiffs 14months after I had ceased the contract because for some bizarre reason they reinstated my line rental...I could write a book....0 -
hi everyone
sorry everybody is having a rough day hope you feel a bit better by now.:grouphug:
YB chocolate does it for me too:D
i talked earlier about £211 rebate from Npower.well its come in the form of a cheque. bum!! that means I have to go to the bank to pay it in and when I do that they always ask me if I'd like to talk to someone about the account:eek:
as we are living from the overdraft all the time I try and keep a low profile:rotfl:
maybe I could muddy my face up and army crawl in and just plop it on the counter:rotfl:
easy option would be to send OH:rotfl: :rotfl: but hes more scared than me!!!0 -
Hi Cas
In my bank you can put it in a paying in envelope and post it through a slot.
Have tried hard all day to resist chocolate. Not sure I can last all day tomorrow without any though.
Hope everyones had a good day, Ruby's gone very quiet........Getting there...slowly!

Evening ladies
Sorry for lack of diary entries recently it has been a strange week what with all four of us having this horrid bug and then going back to work and trying to catch up!!!
I need your views/comments/advice on my baskets for the girls christmas journey...
I know it is probably silly but I have decided to make up six and all of them are identical because I thought it would make it easier. Over the last week or so I have been buying things and feeling really pleased with my progress. Then tonight I had a confidence crisis and have started worrying that I am giving my nearest and dearest a basket of cheap tat!!! ha ha. Humour me.
So far I have got the following:
(6 of everythhing)
flannel cup cakes with a pink heart shaped bath bomb on top
Bodyshop pink bath lilly
Pink cancer research ribbon shaped car air freshener
Pink cancer research compact mirror with fold up brush
face masks
nail files and cuticle sticks
funky patterned tissues
a pack of four make up brushes
a pair of cotton pink socks
I haven't purchased the BASKETS yet.....
Total spend:£51.61 so about £8.50 per person. I have also got the cello and ribbons as part of that price. I don't want to spend more than £15 pp in all, hopefully including the baskets. What I would like to do now is personalise each baskets with a book or magazine and also buy a mini (25cl) bottle of wine for each. Please be honest and tell me if you think this is tat? Or what you think I could add to make better??
Thanks ever so

OMG they sound fabulous I would LOVE to receive something like that
the only other thing I could think of maybe is some little chocolate thing (hearts maybe)
how do you keep the bath bomb thing on top of the cup cake?0 -
Hi Ruby
Sorry you've been poorly, hope you're on the mend now.
I think the baskets sound lovely - make sure you post some pics to inspire me. DH always has to wrap everything in our house 'cos I make such a mess of it so baskets are absolutely beyond me but I love seeing everyone elses. (Boxes and tissue paper are more me)
I have received gifts like this and, especially being given with love, they are exactly what I wanted because people who chose them made them special without spending tons.
Cas, your rebate fron Npower is very welcome I'm sure. I'm in the process of switching and hoping for a refund but not quite sure how much exactly. Hoping for a nice surprise like you!
best wishes all - roll on Friday

Ah bless you sistercas, thanks so much that has restored my confidence. Chocolate is a great idea, I will look out for some.
As for the cupcake, I have the flannels and the bath bomb, but the cases haven't arrived from eBay yet, although I was reading the baskets thread and they seem to think you can use glue spots or sticky tap!! Heres hoping....
Good news about your rebate, I would definetly pay it in through the machine in the bank.
Hi YB, well done on resisting chocolate.
Hi SH, well done on resisting shopping, I seem to slipping back into my old ways (well especially when it comes to my latest addiction... baskets).
Ladies I am sorry to say, as I type I am eating a penguin and drinking coffee.
