Afternoon everyone.
Well I didnt get to my meeting and greeting. Called at DDs and she admitted she was in a bigger hole than I thought. S ended up sorting her out. She had to ring a debt collecting agency. The guy was quite rude and kept saying why have you not got a job yet and you have been looking for a year. Ended up me taking the phone and telling him it had nothing to do with him and we just wanted the debt settled. He was really rude to me till I asked for the manger.
Before this I had been shouting at DD which I never do. Ive calmed down now though.
Am back home and just having a cuppa before catching up on some more flying.

Chunky Im sure your friend will be over the moon with her gifts. You are indeed a good friend.
PS Im in a different mind set re work and try not to get stressed. But after someone has been crying and headbanging for hours iit does get to you. Thing is if you approach her she stops and laughs. We are trying to ignore unless its necessary to intervene.0 -

This is why I have a flat postage rate.. it is on the listings from the start and if the buyer doesn't want to pay it.. tough.. don't bid!!
Little things.. £2.50 .. medium sized things/tops/jumpers/trousers etc £3.50 and heavier items, coats/shoes etc £5.. big heavy items I increase it accordingly..
yeah i do similar.. usually works out about 70-90p more than it actually costs in royal mail postage. But that covers all my fees and costs including literally a few pence for my time. As you say if people dont like it tough dont bid! The price is perfectly clear to see!
That low profit of £3.90 is mostly cos i ended up reducing all the listings to 1p and some actually sold at 1p.... just to get it all out the house! :rotfl: :rotfl: Planning on doing that again though cos it encouraged bidders on items id previously listed couple of times that didnt sell.....0 -

Johanne I've listed stuff at 1p before just to get rid..
ARGH.. Jamie.. I just remembered Tiddles is asleep in the buggy.. best wake her she has been asleep since 3pm!!!!!!!!!!!
remedied that one.. lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

When I ebay I set the postage - like Pigpen, then you get the bid+postage and only listing fees to pay. Is it worth it - well it's b***** easier, and more pleasant, than carbooting!
Michelle - enjoy the babes - get some rest - Pooh (was it you?) love that plant dead-kids living comment - that puts it into perspective. Who was it said - 'don't sweat the small stuff?'
The weather has had a very bad effect on me - been cold, miserable to climbed under the duvet for 2 HOURS:eek:
So not much has been done since I did my errand this morning -just off to finish the washing up from lunch
***hangs head in shame***
make my bed
***cringe***
then clean the bathroom.
Poohbear - So pleased your son walked from the accident - a GF of my sisters had a terrible one a few years back - air ambulance, amputation, pins. So that was brill to read IYKWIM.
Sexymouse - did you/have you taken your CV round to schools? They could then contact you direct or via the agency - but you each get to look at each other IYSWIM - and you spoil that cat - big time:p
Pigpen d'you know where I can get some motivation - cos I need it, urgently!
Chunky Lucky friend you have there. Never been to the IoM either but understand the pace of life is slower - bet it's a safer place to live - and a brill place to bring up kids. Could you visit?

Afternoon. I've just finished working for the day. Yeah!!!!!!! It all went fine and my wrist is only the tiniest bit sore. Thanks for peoples good wishes for my back. It's much better today. It's a recurrent problem that hadn't flaired up for a year and then went when I walked across the room yesterday - wierd!!
Mini dilemma - lego (the company) owe me a refund of £8. They also sent me a big box of duplo by mistake and i'm supposed to send it back and then claim a refund. They've not refunded the original £8 so i'm not doing that. Do I sell the duplo to get the money back?
Guess i'd better find myself a list! xx0 -

Pigpen Sorry thought today was Friday.0

Aww poohbear. Glad he had a lucky escape and is on the mend.
Michelle - I know what you mean about the thread getting long if you've been busy for a day or two. I struggle to catch up on the 3 mornings I work. So I skim it quickly and then go back if I have time. Which is very rare to be honest.
I sympathise with the broken nights sleep. The housework will still be there tomorrow. Try and grab a catnap if you can during the day if they're both asleep at the same time.
Didn't you say the other week that you'd started LO on some solid food. How's that going?
i stopped as the health visitor said he was too little, but i've restarted again this week, he's just had some sweet potato in with his baby rice and wolfed it down, and slept for about 2 hours this afternoon. he has been just doing short cat naps previously, so i am going with my instincts and stuff the health visitor, afterall it isn't her dealing with 2 under 2s after being up in the night,
i know all is a phase that will pass, and it is already loads easier. i feel better for having had some time to do something i wanted even if it was sit on here all afternoon
sexymouse meant to say earlier that everything happens for a reason, and something better is meant for you - you just don't know it yet0
