    :hello:

A few hugs needed today, So i don't miss anyone lets all have a group hug:grouphug:.

Poohbear how awful, but the good thing is he is alright xx

Michelle, its hard work hun i know but it does get easier honest. I know it doesn't seem like that now but it soon will hun xx It will still be there tomorrow and the day after just plug away a bit at a time if it doesn't get done then so what...so long as the the family unit is happy, so be it. Have you not got a family member or a good friend that could come and help you out a little bit or just chat to you and occupy little ones whilst you maybe get on with something?

KAZ lol at the email argument, sorry but just like me and oh, he works away and we still manage to argue.....You do right hun get him in his place you work but still do the housework. You could always remove the puter lead so he cannot play solitaire, i have done this before when oh was at home in the week he wasn't amused but got the little hint.

    Sexymouse Hugs hun xx

Mudbath what have you done now? Just seen a hugs post and a mention of a bad back, your a very fragile missus of late...hugs hun xx

Goodness me i have dished some hugs out today, good job its not kisses i woul dhave no teeth left at all :D :rotfl:

Well i went to town got the bits and bobs for my friend. I am amazed at what i have bought. I budgeted £50 and for that i have got:- Colander, Frying pan, serving spoons, potato masher, tin opener, pizza cutter, bottle opener, potato peeler, cheese grater, tea towels, mugs, cup and saucer, candles, toilet rolls, various items of cleaning stuff (inc stardrops), toilet brush, toothbrush holder, whisk, cutlery set and extra tea spoons, kitchen roll, tissues as she may need a good cry and a few pampering bits.face mask, body scrub, shower gel. there is more but i cannot think of it all now.

As some of you are aware OH works in the ilse of man, today it has been mentioned for him to work as a permy instead of contracting.. Nice idea, lovely place to bring up kids etc....but crapping myself at the thought. i will be on my own with 4 kids not a nice thought. no friends or family out there? Oh well we will see how the idea progresses over the coming weeks.

Right gonna do a little bit more, my father is picking up the children from school which is now a farce in its self. Ds2 finishes at 3pm and ds2 and dd1 finish at 3:15pm all attend the same school! so now we have to hang around in this blooming cold weather with a 5 year old for 20 minutes as they are never out on time either...not fun. There were quite a few disgruntled parents yesterday so hopefully it won't rein long this new idea.

Catcha all later xx
You can touch the dust but please don't write in it !

Would you like to speak to the man in charge, or the woman who knows whats happening?
  • want to ask, is it worth it??? and how do you find out how much postage is?
denise flower - weigh the item (kitchen scales) and then look up the royal mail web site for postage and add a little on for packing - ebay recommends 10% ish - I get a leaflet from the post office with postage costs - saves time going to the website.
I dont know what you mean by 'worth it' - everybody's expectations/needs are different - me, I ebay anything and everything - every penny is a prisoner!! maybe you need to look at similar otems and see what they have went for to get an idea.
somepeople think its not 'worth it' if they dont make £10 profit on each thing - like I say that part is really up to you - sometimes the carp surprises you and you get far more than expected.
    HTH

  • Hi chunky,
what a great shopping trip you had and I bet you enjoyed it too! - your friend will need the tissues when she sees what you have done - you are a lovely friend to have!
Have never been to IOM but understand its really nice - you would cope really well and soon get to know people - it must be good news that they want OH to go permanent - it would save a lot of worries of his contract being ended?
I know its a scary thought but take it as it comes and you will still have your family and us - on the phone and on the web - it would make your visits to your family special if you are only seeing them a few times a year - but think of all the visitors you would get - IOM is meant to be nice for holidays LOL!!

Denise - pop over to the ebay board think theres a link to an "ebay calculator" on there where you can put all the info like the weight of the parcel, how much your charging for postage, how much your starting the item at, what you think it will end at etc... and it works out your true "profit". Then you'll know if its worth it..... cos the fees etc can take a big chunk of what initially looks like a healthy amount...

i know i just ended up with £3.90 actual profit on my 5 items i sold after ebay fees, paypal fees and postage ......even though £12.86 went into my paypal account for them 5 sales.

Edited to add: infact this was what i was sending you to look for :
    CALCULATORS

    Paypal/Ebay fee calculators

http://www.ezaytools.co.uk - also has other features such as forum & hints and aims to help you to calculate the 'real' profit you make on ebay

Kids home and outside in the garden, now what's left.......
Wednesday Wiiing!- Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
    Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more

    1. Clean all paintwork on the landing
    2. Clean windows in these rooms
Right not too bad, time to dust then hoover and thats it, i'm doing no more in the bedroom today. Will attempt the bathroom once kids are in bed. Right better keep going with the washing.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

This is why I have a flat postage rate.. it is on the listings from the start and if the buyer doesn't want to pay it.. tough.. don't bid!!

Little things.. £2.50 .. medium sized things/tops/jumpers/trousers etc £3.50 and heavier items, coats/shoes etc £5.. big heavy items I increase it accordingly..
