  • Evening everyone - first visit today - have been busy - kitchen sorted this morning then had to sort out childcare for tomorrow - was sorted at the beginning of the hols until my "friend" told me she was unavailabel tomorrow morning - she has just landed a new job and needs induction tomorrow - so after a few frantic calls I found someone for DD and they'll have DS as a bonus (child of same age)!
Promised the kids a trip to local castle - ruin really - so we managed that before it rained - even got the washing in in time! only 1 item to iron so may need an HHI tomorrow to cope with the amount that's built up in the last 6 weeks ( I don't iron unless absolutely necessary - bit creased in places butI have better things to do with my time!)
Visited pa - got tomorrow's lunch out of the freezer for him and made sure he had enough for tea - not sure he'll make the week without mum - may have to move in for a while - he misses the company and panics on his own.
DW on, cake baked for lunchboxes, so ready to wind down now - have to get up early tomorrow ready for an 8:30 start at work - yeuch!

    so list was as follows:
Monday Mop- Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces[/STRIKE]
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Sweep and mop floors[/STRIKE]

[STRIKE]Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Wipe all the windows in these areas!!
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances .. don't forget those kick boards..[/STRIKE] OK so didin't do boards!!

Wipe out a dirty cupboard... get rid of everything you no longer need and make it all pretty and tidy!
    Extra Mission : help yourself

[STRIKE] S&S over the hob and oven
Wipe down any tiles and shine those taps.. a toothbrush is great for cleaning away the gunk![/STRIKE]
    1. 34 fling boogie..

I am delighted that the head was supportive and you be sure to take her up on her offer of somewhere to go if things get too hard for you. Its good that you dont have to go in tomorrow it will give your arm a rest again - dont overdo it for a while - sorry to nag!

I,m going to try and join in this week, if you dont mind, fed up with this house always looking a mess, no need for it. I work full time and have quite an active social life but really must get to grips with the house. Heres what I,ve done today, after work.
    Washed dishes and wiped surfaces
Took down roman blinds in bedroom, washed them and rehung.
Washed curtains for bedroom, now dry ready for ironing
    hoovered bedroom and polished furniture
hoovered hall (not stairs though) livingroom and kitchen floor
cleaned inside of bedroom windows and frames
Gave two bedroom rugs a good old shake out the window
threw some paper rubbish out of the cupboard into green bin
folded washing from 2 days ago and put away
wiped rund bathroom sink and bath edge
decanted big pot of soup made yesterday into containers and froze
cleared cupboard under sink (now found out where smell was coming from, water must have gone down back. YUCH!)
Tomorrow I hope to make a good dent in the small bedroom I keep the PC in, and make it habitable, just a junk room and getting worse all the time.

If I remember right its about 9 hours.(if Denise is in new zealand as I thought) My stepsister lives in NZ and my stepmum keeps three clocks in the kitchen-South african New Zealand and england. South Africa is an hour ahead of us (in summer) and SS is 8 hours ahead of them-but then Im not sure of their DST (says me hoping she hasnt come back on to give us the right answer:o ) I just love that my SM has three clocks so she knows when she can call us all:rotfl:

snickerdoodles - I have made the nigella version a few times, they are very nice but there is only me who eats cinnamon so I pigged the lot :o .

Pigpen - loved the photos, especially the kitten. I do like kittens a lot.

DS2 had a lovely time at school and he can't wait to go back tomorrow :A .

I spent the morning deep cleaning our room so that it is now a BR rather than a camp site. We have only been sleeping in there for a few weeks after all. My aim is to deep clean a room on each free morning for the next couple of weeks, and to go jogging after I drop the boys off at least twice a week.

Rained all day here so no photos. I will sort some out when it stops and post a link so anyone who wants to can admire my collection of chickweed and shiny evergreen azaleas.
