vanilla - i wish my kids were in bed!:rolleyes:

have managed to get quite a lot done this afternoon. cooked a lovely roast, was yum:)

i am half way through dd's bedroom, will tackle the other half tomorrow:eek:also hoovered ds1&2 bedroom...equally shocking!

business has picked up this week and i have put together a few more orders today.:T

kitchen is now tidy and clean, bins and recycling out and floors swept, front room and hallway hoovered! must put another wash on this evening and hang out before bed.......now will sit down with a nice glass of wine:D

Kids all sleeping :j , living room decluttered and hoovered so looking pretty good. Fire lit and plenty of sticks in, Wm nearly finished then i'll stick on another load.

Bo has been chewing at the door even with the lampshade on.:mad: :mad: So need to think of something to put on it to stop him had thought of old fireguard, cut it to right length and screw it on but hubby thinks he could get his teeth caught in it.

Right now to make a start on the kitchen, it is awful .

That's what we'd prefer to happen - and it does, on occasion - we accept things go wrong and people are late through no fault of their own - but to deliberately leave it until later... and what do they think their kids are thinking? Some of them get very distressed...

Embb – thanks for the info. I think I’ll see how the new system goes for 2 months and if it isn’t working then I’ll be hiring (and I’ve told the kids I’ll dock a weeks pocket money each month for not helping more, wicked mother as I am)

GnB – I think you can be forgiven for carrying your DD’s bag from school – didn’t she recently have an op on it

AnW’smum – Hi I wondered where you’d gone looks like you had a good time

Sexymouse – when I make it I use value type cake mixes (and I know its cheating but …..) sometimes 2 or 3 depending on how big I want it but instead of just adding an egg per pack, I add 2 eggs and 2oz marg/butter per pack and then just add the coffee flavour to the mix. The walnuts I chop into the buttercream in the middle and put a few whole ones into the plain coffee buttercream on the top. Reading further why not try lloking for a weight watchers recipe.

Pigpen – whats the prob with carphone warehouse, I was going ot look at them for my new phone

Boddy – hope it wasn’t masonry. We have got a gas fire in one sitting room and I wouldn’t know where to start to look behind it. Fingers crossed for you.

Flower – my job is a bit like your last one and I get paid stupid money for what I do. Would sometimes like something more challenging but job has good pay rises, bonuses and pension, golden handcuffs methinks

Taffy – what a result, can your DH give mine some lessons

Vanilla – Bo sounds like a handful, hope he’s ok

Mudbath – glad everything went ok, and booked til Christmas WOW

Lilme – you’re very brave in this weather, hope the weather stays reasonable for you

Sarah - know what you mean about the weather, I find it really depressing too, and don’t worry you’re not the only one who has done nothing today

So what have I done today. Took DS and DD into town. Bumped into an old friend who is actually Godmother to DS but havent seen for years, she was shocked at seeing a 5'10" laddie. DD kicked off in Clarks as she wanted to have boots for school so we came away with nothing as nothing else was right in any shape size or form . Also done some internet shopping lakeland and amazon (more cookery books , what is it I have with cookery books ). Have also updated some spends on the computer but still have more to do. Waiting for my JP to finish cooking then munch, kids had pizza and chips so they're all quiet now. They'll get a shock though as when I'm all minched out they'll be asked to help clear everything away .

I have done nothing today but eat and be lazy. Had a bit of a tiff with DF but nothing huge-all sorted now:) But I have to say I cant stand walking about the house and am going to have to do some flying now. So I came on purely to commit myself to an

I dont expect anyone to join me but I knew if I put it up here I'd have to update so I would do it. I have a floordrobe in the bedroom:eek:Not had one in weeks so Im GOING to get it sorted. I'll catch up on the thread later.

Just had to mention to you all that I found in my local "life" magazine that we are having a country fayre down the road on 14 September and they are running a cake competition:)
Between all your comments and DF nagging today I think IM going to enquire about it-never done anything like it and may just boost my confidence a bit:T
