Started a stew in the slow cooker. Just chucked stuff in so hope its ok. The nicer dicer was a great help with the chopping. Finally got bum into gear and went shopping. £55.22 spent  thats £146 out of my £200 budget and its only the 7th. 18 days to go. Cupboards, fridge and freezer all well stocked so should be ok.:j0

We too have spent most of our shopping budget this month, the main reason being that we have fallen into the old habit of going to Sainsburys rather than Aldi on a regular basis! That said, we do look for as many offers as possible & buy a fair amount of the Basics brand. We also have plenty of food in cupboard, fridge & freezer so hopefully will not overspend by too much before OH's payday! Having sausage casserole for tea & really looking forward to it!!Debt at LBM(July 1st 07)-£35,053.92 Debt on 1st Anniversary of LBM(July 1st 08)-£33,170.11 (31st January 09)-£32,318.73Paid off so far £2,735.19(7.8%) Average paid off p.m. £143.95 L/H supporter 115 DFD target February 2018 DFD March 2028. Well managed another no spend day. I didnt prepare anything but grabbed some bits from the well stocked cupboard and fridge. Rarley had so many no spend days hope I can keep it going.

Hi kp just spotted this..a bit late sorry! All sounds like a good idea to me and belated happy diary. BOBxBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Hi Wendy, been wondering where you've been lately, just found your new thread. Hope everything is OK with you and your lot x0

Hello BOB and GR
Welcome to my latest set of ramblings.:j0 -
Hi Wendy...you are always on the go....:D
Well done on the no spend day. I could do with a no spend month...doing dreadful but nevermind. I've committed the cardinal sin of popping into asda for a couple of things, like today, for fruit, and spent £47  Then I get really annoyed with myself and think 'what's the point?' It's never ending.
Made me smile what your DD did re:the present. Bless 'em. Next time she wants money for a present you can give her a little now and say 'well you managed to get a present for that amount last time'
Think I'm going to have an early night tonight, very tired.
Catch you soon

Happy Birthday for the 24th, sorry its a while ago now! Life does sound tough for you, KP, I hope you're taking care of yourself as much as you can. At the mo, I'm about to crash in front of the tv watching Stargate Atlantis for an hour....

Hope you enjoyed Stargate Atlantis. I followed Stargate (yes Micheal Shanks is a bit georgeous!) and the first few series of Atlantis but lost track during the last. OH is an avid fan.
Spoilt myself today spent £42 on a handbag and purse using £10 cash and £20 debenhams vouchers. I dont normally shop in Debenhams or pay nearly as much for a handbag (£22) and purse (£20:eek: but very nice) but I thought it would be ok as a one off treat. I did need a new purse but not a bag that was a want.
New self budget total £3 to date + 12.50 handbag and parking + 1.40 lunch = 16.90/50. I did manage to hols off on the vending machine today.
£5 onto kids budget for DD2 school club, OH paid the £5 for brownies. Seems neverending!
Did forget to add that OH paid me the other £20 and abother £10 towards some trainers he ordered form catalogue, 2 pairs of his have given up so he did need some. The £10 though had £6 deducted from DS school trip so 36 to add to that.
Kids = 16 DD1 + 5 DD2 + 6 DS + 3 DD1 = £30/50
Really need to update spending diary Im only 6 weeks or something behind!:j0 -
For those who follow my dreaded mood swings a warning that this is usually the tough week. So far feel fine. On top of work still not going fast enough but progress being made. Have a to do list tomorrow which includes preparing for the meet with boss on Thursday.:j0
