  • Didnt finish work till gone 6 and only nearly finshed one report. Still needs tweeking. Hopefully tomorrow will go smoothly. been before an know it well so fingers crossed.

Cooked pasta is on the hob. Need to drain and coll with cold water. Thought I had better start or will spend money tomorrow when out. Not sure weaher to study or not now as its nearly eight and Ive just finished dinner. Might bake instead.

Grand spend for today is just 50p so £49.50 left of my Sept budget.

Put expenses in today and a bit higher than I thought £90+ due in a couple of weeks I hadnt added to the calculations above.

    Xmas Saver!
Re Alliance and Leicester, if you go through Quidco make sure you take out the normal bank account (not premier), dont have to use the account, once it went through they sent me a cheque book and basic debit card, credits really quickly on Quidco, think it was 6 weeks start to fininsh. The brilliant thing is you dont have to use the account unless you want to. Same with the saveings account.

I use mine, my savings account - got the money from supermarket vouchers in (if we soend £10 vouchers, we put £10 up - dd wants to go out for xmas lunch)

Current account - has my onepoll, quidco etc in there, only just to keep it away from main account.

I sorted out A+L accounts for parents, (silver surfers - not that gd), neither of them use their accounts, with dads we cancelled the account once quidco had cleared. Def worth a look.

I can recommend one poll, it took me about 6 mths to get £40, the surveys are 5p, 10p etc, but there fun, just click boxes, no hard work.

Being nosey, what are you studying........ Your doing a wonderful job, what with work, hubby, children and money....your an inspiration xx

    I personally use mine
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

  • Morning

Thank you Mum2one thats lovely to hear when most of the time I feel like Im doing a good headless chicken impression. Cheers for the A&L info definately worth a look.

This will really give me away if anyone knows me but nevermind

The course is an industry course for asset based lending (invoice discounting/factoring). Its a year course that for the first three quarters every three months you do answer three questions. The last (Nov) is the exam. I was supposed to send my last assignment in by Aug 31st but got an extention till Thurs. It must be in friday.

Thought when I signed up it would help with the job and not be too much work (and some money at the end when I pass!) but I have struggled. Im much better going to lessons like when I did AAT. Studying from home has never been a strong point. I put it off constantly.

Hi KP, just checked out your old diary & I know what you mean about wondering why you went camping. Personally I like to holiday in comfort(or maybe I'm just a wimp:D )! That said, it's nice that the kids enjoyed themselves & the main thing is, although you spent too much, at least you know how much you spent. We have been on so many holidays where we didn't have a clue how much we overspent. We also overspent on this holiday, but like yourselves at least we managed to save alot towards our hols, so the damage isn't too bad. Starting to get back on track of things. OH bought DD's uniform for school today, totalling £41. Still have to buy her a new blazer, I asked OH why she couldn't wear last year's, but she said she had grown out of it. Asked DD to put it on & OH was right, it is too small for her. How can she grow so fast in the space of 6 weeks! To be fair she has had the blazer since she started secondary school & when she goes back will be in the 3rd year, so it has lasted well! Going to take half an hour now to catch up with your new diary. All the best!
