I love One Poll surveys, they require no brain power (no offence to anyone), once you get going doesnt take to long to get to £40.
    I use
    Mutual Points
    Quidco
    One Poll
    for the daily clicks.

I dont know if you are anyone reading this, but ebay is now back on Quidco and you get 40% of the revenue back.

The gd thing is with stews and casseroles, you can batch bake and freeze them. My dd likes my beef in red wine, have to do her a special batch, wont have onions or mushrooms, just the beef, bacon and sauce, but keeps her happy!

  • Yes they do seem nice an easy I like not needed to switch my brain on! I have done some casseroles/stew a while back but my kids loath them so they are kept for me on OH mainly. Good idea about the batch cooking - I think Ill have a batch bake soon and stock up my FF again after I defrosted it in error.

Todays spend was nil but just given OH £4 for a chip shop meal. I spent 9 hours on my course work today only getting up to go to the loo twice and get a drink round in. Brian was more fried than I thought when I got back. I had also forgot to put the defrosted chicken in the slowcooker or it would have been alot easier.

Ate the last of my pasta lunches today. They were ok and did the job but Im a bit sickof it now. Will take tomorrow off and make some at the weekend for next week. Should have some chicken to add this time.

  • Hello Wendy  Good to see you're still giving it your all hun. I'm feeling a bit jaded at the moment. I know I've joined you on the overdraft challenge but to be honest I think it'll be next Christmas when my overdraft is gone!
I can't believe how close we are to Christmas...how did that happen? Going to go to my diary and update, though nothing really interesting to add :D
Those 'nicer dicers' do look good. I like gadget type things but then the novelty wears off for me, I'm so fickle :D
    Catch you later chix.

I don't believe in the concept of hell, but if I did I would think of it as filled with people who were cruel to animals.

  • Hit 31 on the 24th Aug when I was away. Saw nicer dicer down from £30-20 in Wollies. I was umming and arring then OH picked it up and handed me £20.

Dont fret about the OD. There are worse things in the world. Hope you start to feel better soon.

Got to go DD2 off to dentist. Ill freak you all out with the bill later.

  • £80 at dentists and believe it or not that was less than I thought it would be, I can claim that back in full so will do ASAP. I have an appointment next week so hope to get two fillings done so I can claim that back and then just hope the other holes dont play up until I can afford to get done.

Havent been to Iceland (the store that it!) for years . I used to use regularly before we got the car. As I parked next door I couldnt resist and stocked up on freezer stuff. Two freezer and regular bags later my DD2 was fed up!. Only came to £32 and I have practically filled my freezer. Got some diced meat for a stew.

Grocery spends to date £45 tesco Sunday - £10 OH Wed - £4 chips Thurs - £32 Iceland TOTAL - £91/£200. Almost half way already.

Me spends so far 2x50p choc earlier in week + £2 today on lunch TOTAL £2/50

    OH nowt

Kids - cheques for guides written but not handed over £16

Other £1.20 parking and £80 dentist.

Think that isnt a bad week so I hope I can keep it up.

No point in reporting od until payday on the 25th and I work out outgoings. Main thing is nothing gone out that shouldnt and on track with budget. Got telephone/broadband bill today £28 versus £30 budget still want it lower. though

  • Feeling ok mood wise thanks. Dodgy stomach but thats just annoying. Got a word with the boss on Thurs before the dentist so Thurs should be interesting. I rang him up pre holiday to ask him to request an extention on the coursework. Burst into tears and practically hung up. Spoke to him breify after the hols and said I was struggling so hope things go ok. Im just dreading people have complained about my work being late. My old boss was so used to me burstinginto tears that I didnt want my new boss to see that side and that I had drown out of it and could handle things better. More professional.

The anti ds run out soon so will mention work being a stresser then if things stay the same. As above will know more Thursday.

Ref the list theres not too much and its spread over two days. Could be done in a day if I really tried but other than a hour 1/2 on here this am I didnt get out of bed until 12!

So far - done shopping list which is much longer than I like
Baked hobnobs (just about to taste test) and 1 lemon cake excpet the drizzle bit.
    Also washed up.

DD1 spent £3 on her mate and tried to pocket the rest. Daft thing didnt take the price tags off so got caught by mum and dad!

You take care of yourself, and make time for yourself, guess its been a rough time one way and another with the anti-ds, make sure to go to docs b4 the prescription runs out, and have a chat with them.
Your daughter and the money just brought a smile to my face... I use to do the opposiate when I was with my ex, he use to moan at me for buying too many clothes when my mate and me had our monthly shops, )going back 10yrs.I feel old) so always use to take a red pen, and get her to write a new "reduced" price on the label and I would do the same for her...... neither hers or my bloke ever knew the truth!!

Thanks Mum2one yeah a few things have happened and my natural outlook tends to be negative at first. As I have got older I realise everyone has bad and good luck and my good luck is there and I need to focus on that and not just the rubbish stuff.

Forgot to update you guys on OH -

    1) Definately having the odd crafty fag in the loo

    2) Had hospital appointment for upto date test and he failed the kiney and liver one. Signs of wear with oneof the kidneys (think roght one). He willnow be refered for renel test to find out the extent and hopefully how long before it becomes a problem. He was upset on Thurs but seems better now. We knew it was going to happen (side effect of long term painkillers) its still a shock though. I think he fears losing what independance he has. I have been as supportive as posible. Dont know how to feel because what can we do??
